      08/17/22 On 8/13/22 I received paperwork confirming my policy with USLI. The policy was to provide coverage for my Non-Profit. Three days later, I was contacted by my insurance broker who later shared that my insurance had been canceled based on a ****** search. Said search, provided the company with a false statement/information related to me. The company didn't allow me to address the situation before canceling my policy, in short a ****** search determined if I qualified for the insurance. USLI claims to be committed to making a difference and diversifying it's client base. I do not feel like the process allows the voice of the customer to be considered during the character check of the consumer.I'm asking that the process be revisited and clearly stated within the application process.

      On 1/28/2022 the boiler in the laundromat that I own had a mechanical failure. As a result the laundromat had no water and had to shut down. A claim was filed with the insurance company USLI.I deliberately purchased an expensive and expansive policy to cover mechanical failures and loss of income. The adjustors that were involved are:1) ************************* (he is with ****************** representing USLI)2) ****** ********** (He is a field Adjustor for ********)3) *************************** (She is with USLI)************************* sent ****** ********** to visit the ****** Laundromat. All documents such as the lease, repair cost, estimates, bills, income for the prior 3 months, income for the prior year was given to him to process the claim. To this moment, after 2 months from the date of the incident, USLI refuses to answer my emails and requests for explanation.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      There is no confidentially clause that prevents USLI to answer to my complaint.

      USLI is refusing to respond to my BBB complaint because they simply made an error and do not not want public to know about they way they process their claims. 

      USLI did in fact respond to my complaint with the **** of Insurance of The ***********. See attached.

      Here is my response to their letter dated 4/14/2022 and their refusal to address my claim publicly.

      Today 4/28/2022 I received a reply from USLI.
      The moment I filed a complaint with BBB & The **** ****.of Insurance for their none compliance; after forcing them to reply in writing and partially denying my boiler claim (the morning of) within 4 hours USLI adjustors miraculously discovered that that I was correct and in fact had a Mechanical Failure Coverage in my policy. USLI has reopened my claim. USLI still refuses to process my claim instead they have forwarded my claim to their 4th adjustor the specialized in Boilers.
      Their latest email to me is full of incorrect facts and misleading statements:
      1) USLI claims this was a broken pipe claim. False. That is a blatant lie. We had a broken computer board and our Boiler blew. Their field adjustor knew about this. He was given an estimate from a reputable Boiler company to replace the boiler. USLI hides behind the "initial call"and taking a blind eye to the documents and evidence we have submitted to them. I live 3000 miles away and I just reported a claim as it was reported to me by my site manager. When the companies specializing in boiler repair and replacement came to diagnose the problem, USLI were made aware of what was wrong and what it costs to replace the boiler systems. They failed to listen to diagnostic evaluation by a third party boiler installer. They did not even acknowledge the claim and did not bother to investigate. They claim the call came in as a pipe claim so they closed their eyes to what really happened after experts visited the premises. 

      2) The way USLI insurance policy is written for business owners, if I did not take action to prevent further losses, meaning if I did not take the matter in my own hands, they could blame me for not taking action to mitigate the losses. I did just that! so I had to temporarily fix the boiler so I would curtail and mitigate my loss of income. If I did not do that, USLI would claim, why didn't I follow the policies and procedures of the insurance contract and mitigate the losses!. Very tricky on their part. It was very wise decision to fix the problem and not wait for USLI to approve my claim. Had I not repaired the boiler, I would have lost my business. Meanwhile, USLI is setting up the stage not to honor the loss of income coverage. This is why they are still refusing to accept the mechanical failure coverage for the boiler and referring to this claim as a pipe failure.

      The bottom line is, I had mechanical failure coverage policy as well as loss of income coverage. To this date, USLI has refused to honor either one.
      I want to hold them accountable for replacing the boiler system and cover my loss of income per my policy.

      Location service for buried cables rep very nice but after he left all but lost internet and no phone service after he fixed it. Not a complaint against person but call it the USLI to get correction was impossible.

      Centurylink has plans to correct tomorrow. Close the complaint.

      I had a water damages at my property. And I had insurance ( ** and Umbrella). Insurance company rejected to provide me an information how much money was paid for damages. I would like to request those documents.
