I hired Randy, Neff's Custom Wood Products to remodeled my kitchen after a plumbing issue I had. On 12/3/2022, Randy gave me an estimate and I paid him half in the amount of $6,949.50 which was supposed to hold my place for a upcoming appointment. Randy ran into some delays which was okay because at the time I was a full-time caretaker for my daughter, and my schedule was busy. Unfortunately, the delays kept coming on Randy's end. Only one time when Randy was ready to install I wasn't available because my daughter was admitted to the hospital. It didn't seem to be a big problem because he had other installs to work on. He seemed to always be behind in his installs. However we made another appointment for the install again. Randy was not able to meet the deadline. I then inform him in April, I was no longer interested and require my deposit back. He agreed he would give the full deposit back but it wouldn't be right away. 3 months have passed and Randy still hasn't given me my deposit back nor does he answer any of my text messages. You cannot leave him a voice message because his voicemail supposedly is not set up . Currently I am out of my deposit and no work has been done on my kitchen. Randy has had my deposit since December of 2022. Neff's Custom Wood Products cannot be trusted with your deposit or setting up appointments and meeting the schedule.Business response

MOST OF THE COMPLAINT ISSUES ARE FACTUAL. I REC-
EIVED THE DOWN PAYMENT ON DEC. 22. I STILL HAD A FEW TRIPS
TO FINALIZE THE END RESULT.HER FIRST OPEN SLOT WAS IN THE
THIRD WEEK OF JAN., BUT HERE WERE ISSUES WITH HER DAUGHTER.
I HAD ALREADY STARTED BUYING HER MATERIALS.I SPENT OVER $5000.00 (SOLID MAPLE, CUSTOM PAINT, VENEER PLYWOOD ETC. SO WE AGREED TO BUMP HER JOB.
STARTED ANOTHER LITTLE JOB.
NOT READY.STARTED A BIG JOB. BY THIS TIME I WAS BUMPING
OTHERS TO ACCOMMODATE HER. I UNDERSTOOD THE PROBLEM.
HER DAUGHTER PASSED. I AKED HER FOR SOME TIME TO COMPLETE
****** KITCHEN. SHE GAVE IT, UNDER DURESS.
WHILE FINISHING ***** KITCHEN SHE INFORMED THE COULD NOT
WAIT ANY LONGER, WANTED A FULL REFUND.
I CANT ANTICIPATE WHEN OR HOW MUCH I WILL E ABLE TO
IN MONEY FROM THE USAGE OR SELLING OF HER MATERIALS.
PLEASE DO NOT MISUNDERSTAND ME, ***** IS A SWEET AND
KIND LADY.SHE JUST RAN INTO A NIGHTMARE, WHLE TRYING TO FIX
UP HER HOUSE. AS A SINGLE PERSON. SHE IS A ROCK. SHE HANDLED
THE SITUATION WHIT HUMILITY AND CLASS.I AM SO VERY SORRY THIS
IS THE UNFORTUNATE OUTCOME OF OUR BREIF RELATIONSHIP.I WILL TRY TO BE AS FAIR AS I CAN.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Most of what he is stating is not correct. I received a text from him on March 1, 2023, where he had not even purchased my materials yet. Where he is asking me have I picked up the hardware and the color of the countertops yet. Below is an attachment stating this. Let me know if you can view it. Because,I took screenshots of our texting.
It actually was rhe other way around, he kept putting my project on hold, for his other clients. Stating that when they initially started the project they only wanted certain items completed but before the project was done they added more to it. Or another project came up and it was much bigger than mine and he would lose the deposit if he didn't finish the current project he was on.
When I finally told him I no longer wanted the kitchen completed he stated he would give me back my entire deposit however I have not heard anything from Randy.
