I applied to an apartment complex in Athens GA in Jan 2019. In march 2019, I informed the complex that I was no longer going to be able to move into the apartment that August. I had given them 5 months notice through emails and calls, and paid all of my pre-move in fees. My roommate also decided to move in without me anyway. The complex had ample notice to find a replacement in the very busy college town. There is a $600 charge on my credit report that I have been trying to fight for almost 3 years now. This was an apartment I never received keys for, nor did I ever see the actual unit I was going to receive, just had a tour of the apartment model. At the time of move in, another property manager had called me requesting the full years rent, which was roughly $10k and I was outraged, they threatened to put that amount on my credit report and I argued. They then tried to get me to pay $1200 up front in order to not put anything on my report, I also refused. Almost immediately after that call, I was notified of $600 being reported on my credit file. The apartment complex never lost any money because of me, yet they're still trying to come after me for this.

Upon the reasonable investigation, BYL Services, LLC has closed the account and returned it to the original creditor. An AUD was electronically filed to remove the tradeline from the consumers report. The consumer has been contacted directly and the associated documents have been provided to her.

I had an unpaid gas bill from an old college apartment that got sent to BYL for collections. I found out about the account when I was applying to a new apartment after graduation. After confirming that the debt was mine, I wanted to settle the debt. The agent that I spoke to was pleasant enough and told me that if I paid the balance in full, the account would be deleted and removed from my credit report shortly after. I received confirmation of my payment, and an email from BYL confirming that they would remove the account. A full year later, this account is still showing up on my credit report. I think it is unfair and extremely unethical to make a promise to someone a deletion and never follow through in order to take advantage or their good intention. I spoke to another agent at BYL recently and they said that "they never agreed to remove the account" even though I have proof that they did. My account number is ********.

BYL is showing the consumer paid  the account in full on August 31, 2020. On December 9, 2020 an account deletion was submitted. As the consumer is stating this is still on his credit an AUD will be submitted to the credit reporting agencies for deletion today.

This company is reporting incorrect information on my credit report, they are reporting a collection from an apartment complex that I lived at in 2019. I had a 6 month lease that I completed and made every payment. I moved out on time and paid the balance in full. Now this company says I broke a 12 month lease that I never signed. They have reported an $10,000 balance to my credit that I never signed for or stayed there for. I have proof of the ending lease, move out and paid balance. I wasn't even living in the same county that reported the balance at that time. Someone is really corrupt that works there and is trying to con money from me. Bbb please help!

We have confirmed with the original creditor the balance is correct. We are sending hard copy of lease to the consumer.
