Sanbury Construction was hired to remodel our basement at our home in April, 2022. ***************************, owner, provided a signed contract where he specifically indicated the following: Sanbury will:-Provide a $1,000,000 Insurance certificate with home owner (*********************) as the certificate holder -Provide contractor license #****** -Provide a 10yr workmanship warranty for service on project -Begin 4-6 weeks from signing of project and approval of zoning and building permits -Complete project ***** days from signing of project -Apply for and secure all zoning building permits ****** never provided or completed any of the listed items above. The project started in April and finished in September. ****** never hired licensed plumbers or electricians and the plumbing work was done incorrectly. Unfortunately, we can't use the newly installed shower as it floods the basement. When confronted with all the errors, ****** sent a text stating he had contracted and "paid" ****** to fix the plumbing issues in the basement. They were scheduled to come out on October 23rd. ****** and the plumber never showed up and neither have reached out since. We hired law firm *************************************************** to send a letter to have Sanbury honor its warranty and correct the improper work at the property. They never responded to both letters the attorneys sent and per the attorney it would cost just as much what we paid Sanbury to proceed with a lawsuit. If we go to trial and are granted the judgement, there is still no guarantee that Sanbury will reimburse us for the damages done or return to finish the job properly. It's a lose - lose situation. We paid Sanbury a total of $48,338.00. Sanbury's new work address is: *******************************************************************. This situation has caused tremendous heartache and stress.
