I purchase an attic ladder which served well for many years. How ever this ladder was defective and and a recall was never sent out to alert the consumer. Through research I identified that there was a class action law suite with injuries which shows the company liable, yet when I called the company identifying that I had the defective ladder, which broke, they continued to deny responsibility for the ladder and would not replace the ladder. Yet they said with proof that I had the ladder they offered a $50 gift card for Home Depot. They have yet to come through with that offer either. Class action number *************. Purchased the ladder through Lowes. Home Depot had discontinued service with Werner company due to previous ladder issues. They have since resumed business with the company.

I purchased a Werner ladder model number ****** on October 28, 2021 Amazon order number ****************** for $624.93, Within a month the 2nd to bottom step broke and the manufacture said they will not warranty it because I purchased it at Amazon. If they will not warranty their products being sold on Amazon why are they allowing amazon to sell their attic ladders? My inspector also cut his finger open when the defective step broke and was well below the 350 lb weight limit.

Bought a fuel transfer tank/tool box combo on 11/30. It is better built brand which is owned by Werner. I installed the tank same day as well as a transfer pump. I fill the tank up with 75 gallons of off road diesel for the next day to fuel our companies skid steer. I wake up and go to my truck and the truck bed is soaked and fuel is all over my driveway. probably about 3 gallons or so. I thought no way is this brand new tank leaking so the pump must have a leak. I removed the pump with the intention of swapping it at the job site. Get to the job site and get everything unloaded and then i notice fuel pouring out of my bed almost in a stream at this point in my customers yard. So now instead of working me and 3 of my guys are emptying every tool out of the box and putting it into the truck. then it took all of us to get it up and over the hold down bolts and slid to the back of my truck bed. Had to pick it up with the skid steer forks. From there found where a weld on the bracket had burned through the bottom of the tank. so i leaned the forks back to tilt the fuel away from the hole. I then had to go spend $1000 on another transfer tank just to get the fuel out so i could return the tank. I had to remove my bed liner on site to keep the fuel from being spilled on the road. Under the bed liner the paint in bubbling up. Long story short this ordeal cost me a full days work. Labor for 3 guys at $250 each. No work since the fuel tank was on the skid steer all day and we had to run all over the world to get a new tank and dispose of the bed liner. Also there is the expense of the new tank another which is another $1000. The paint in my truck bed sucks. Liner is destroyed. I get it its a truck bed but it still shouldn't have happened. Hoping the same thing doesn't happen when fuel was leaking over bumper. Overall pretty embarrassing ordeal to have occur in front of your customer. Tractor supply returned the tank no problem once empty. No issue there.

On September 8, 2021, I had a Werner 25x54 Aluminum Attic Ladder, rated 375 lbs, installed in my home. The first time I tried to climb the ladder, I was unable to climb into my attic. Use of the top 5 steps is restricted by the door panel that is bolted behind the steps, preventing me from placing my feet securely on the upper steps that are only 3" deep. I can only place 25% of my shoe on the highest steps and my toes don't provide stable support for my body. It is a dangerous design flaw that is begging for lawsuits. I talked with the installer about modifying the stairs to make them safer for me to use and he said he would contact Werner. Since then, he and I have both tried to reach Werner customer service. After spending an hour waiting for them to answer the phone, I pushed the prompt for a callback but haven't received one. My installer spoke with someone twice who was going to get back to him but hasn't. I want a Werner-authorized modification or a refund.
