On 4/4/22 We purchased an item from an online ad that appeared to be legitimate with logos and webpage saying Wayfair. We ordered a hanging chair with Metal stand. After payment was processed the email that was sent to confirm was not from Wayfair but from a company in China. We immediately asked for a refund from the company and they stated it was already shipped and gave a tracking number with a weight of 2oz. The set we ordered should have weighed approximately 50 lbs. We contacted them again stating this tracking number was fake and requested a refund. We did not get a response. We then filed a dispute with our bank. CHFCU and explained the situation and provided proof of the fake tracking number. Money was put back into our account and we never heard from CHFCU again until 5 MONTHS later when we received a letter stating we did not prove our case and funds would be removed from our acct on 9/9/22. I called the claims dept and spoke with Jansy who stated our claim only said the company wasn't a real company so they denied our claim. I told her we sent in proof 5 months ago and since we never heard back, assumed this was a closed case. I faxed a letter to claims as Jansy stated to do however today on 9/9/22 they proceeded to remove the funds from my acct. I am seeking damages of the original amount or 99.89 to be returned an to refund any overdraft fees which may occur from them removing the funds from our acct on such a short notice. I am not able to add funds to my acct until 9/16/22.
