On June 5th I took my chevy truck into this service center where they proceeded to do an inspection, when I went to pay them they threw a form in front of me to sign telling me that they had replaced my airbag on a recall, I was upset that they had not spoken to me first but signed it anyway as it sounded important, the next day my warning lights are telling me I have an airbag issue, so I made another appointment, today, June 27 I took the truck in again after having to take a second morning off work take food out of my kids mouths and they want to charge me $175 for a diagnosis fee, then more on top of that to reprogram the system, I believe this is a fraud to generate income there as my airbag was just fine before, it's been in there for 14 years, all of a sudden this happens and I'm sure it was illegal for them to change that airbag without asking me first. I did not pay them so now if I go to sell the truck I will have a problem because I have two glaring warning signals staring up at me constantly reminding me of this fraudulent attempt at stealing money from my already broke family, have u seen the price of food lately?Business response

We are sorry that there is a misunderstanding regarding **.******* vehicle. The vehicle was presented with 2 requests, State inspection and the factory air bag recall. **************** signed the work order at time of drop off which both authorizes the work to be performed and acknowledging the work that was requested. We, as a ******* ****** dealer are obligated to perform any open factory recalls on a vehicle that is presented for service for any reason, unless the customer specifically requests not to have the recall performed. This was not the case.
An air bag message can illuminate for many reasons. This is why a diagnosis must be performed to determine the cause of the air bag message. After performing several of these recalls, never has it happened that the message reappeared due to performing this recall.
We at Valley Chevrolet are committed to complete customer satisfaction. That being said, we will offer to recheck only and specifically the work related to the air bag recall procedure to put this matter to rest.Sincerely:
