      I had ordered the E version of the paper back in 2020, after 2 or 3 months of not reading it, I called and cancelled the subscription, unbeknownst to me, the subscription was not cancelled and they continued to debit my bank account. I discovered this in the beginning of this year, so I immediately called up and cancelled again, and requested a refund for all the months they had been charging me, the woman I was talking with said she would cancel the subscription, but I needed to speak to her manager in order to get a refund, she transferred me and it went to voice mail. I tried for several days and never got a call back nor did he answer the phone. I ended up calling the Publisher and explained the situation to her, and she stated that I did call the right person and she would look into it and that I should expect a call from the director of operations, I never received a call, I tried calling back to multiple different people multiple times and none of the managing staff will answer nor return my calls, the only one that has answered me was the customer service girl that I spoke to initially, and she can not do anything other than transfer me to someone else which only yeids another voicemail.

      I was getting the newspaper daily. I was paying $14.30 a month with auto pay from my checking account. My husband died on May 29,2022. I called the Times Leader on June 19,2022 and changed from daily delivery of the paper to a Sunday paper. I was advised that it would cost $21.00 for three month of Sunday paper delivery. So I was paid up until June 25th. Now on June 22,2022 they took out the first $21. from my checking account for the three month subscription. On the same day they took another $21. out of my checking account, My daughter called and spoke to Rachel in subscriptions to get clarification for both $21. payments. She informed my daughter that I have been consistently in arears with my payment. How can this be when it's on auto pay? There was other things that she said that didn't make sense. They refused to give a refund. On Sept. 7th. the took $21. out of my checking. I should be paid up to some time in Dec.. I called asked immediately called and ask them to stop payment. Also they changed the withdrawal date and withdraw the $21. three week sooner then they should have. But they did not did not cancel the withdrawal. I had my ******** stop any future withdrawals and disputed that last payment. My daughter and I have communicated with Rachel, Nicole, Valerie and Marc at the Times Leader with no resolve. Valerie did send the following responds: It looks like the payment on May 26 was from May 8th to June 8th....I do apologize for all the payments that have been taken since then. The first $21. takes you to 8-28-22. The second $21. takes you from 9-4-22 to 11-20-22. The 3Rd $21. that was taken automatically takes you from 11-27-22 to 2-12-23....I will check with Marc if anything has been done with your account as of right now. I had ******** that last payment. That leave me with having paid for Sunday paper deliveries until 9-4-22-11-20-22. I didn't get my Sun. paper for the last 4 weeks. They say my acct. is on hold and gave me no reason why.

      i have been a paying subscriber to the times leader in wilkes barre pa. i have not received my paper at least twice a week -for the last year. i call and complain and they tell me they will take care of it and i will be given a refund.i never see a refund. and nothing is done. each week it is the same thing. i paid for the paper and i am not receiving it. they need to be stopped .

      i started a subscription to the times leader and another subscription for the sunday dispatch. 1 year for the times leader at $117 . And for 3 months ,sunday only, for the sunday dispatch at $26. total of $143.00., the subscription started on the 30th march 2022. since then i have had nothing but problems with there service, the paper is being thrown in the swell near the road on my property ,used for water drainage. i have a news paper delivery tube from the times leader located at the beginning of my driveway near the carport.. i have called them numerous times ,each day and emailed .they said they would take care of it. nothing has been done about it. today i spoke with the manager and he said it would be taken care of and that he would send me a email of our conversation ,nothing again, not even a email. i have been requesting a refund each time i have called or emailed about this problem. and i was told that there is no refunds. as stated on the fine print. i have seen no fine print and can not find anything on this ,on there site. this company refuses to give me a refund for the terrible service. and keep the rest of the money. my problem is i no longer want there service and have been requesting a refund. which i am not getting. this is terrible business practices . in other words ,we have your money and where ever and where ever we deliver you will get it. never seen a business do this before. there is no documents to upload to the bbb. as i spoke with the times leader by phone ,and paid by charge card, on the phone. so the only thing i have is the charge on my statement from the charge card company.

      Paper delivery started 2 days ago,we never contacted the times leader to start delivering the paper they did it on their own, on the third day they sent us a bill for a service we never requested. How many people have they done this deceptive practice to who are senior citizens that have paid. Also by delivering the paper without our authorization and knowledge, what if we were on vacation and these papers were piling up and someone robbed our house because of it.

      On 9/20/2021, I started a subscription for daily delivery of the Times Leader newspaper, and paid for delivery service for one year. I was told the newspaper would start delivering on 9/22/2021, which it did not do and this pattern has continued, even after many phone calls from me and false promises from them. I have yet to receive a paper. I even spoke briefly with a circulation manager, ****, who promised to look into my claim and would call me back, which he did not do. I left a message on his voice mail but received no response. I have also spoken to ****** or ******** on a daily basis, to no avail. It is now 9/28/2021 and I cannot get them to issue a refund or deliver a paper. Can you help in this matter? Thank you.

      I am now receiving this newspaper and as much as I would have prefered a refund and/or hearing from someone who would have addressed my issues, it is not worth any further action.

      The person who delivers the Times Leader newspaper has for the past 3 months driven through our neighborhood every morning between 3 and 5am with what sounds like no muffler on the car, waking us up. We have spoken to the driver and called and emailed the paper multiple times without resolution. We are contacting the police since this is a violation of local nuisance noise laws. We are only able to sleep 3 hours per night and this is adversely affecting our health. The car is a small red SUV with PA tag *** ****. We think this is the correct tag, but it was dark and rainy so we are not positive about the last 3 digits.

      I placed an order for the Times Leader for every Wed, Thur, Fri and Sun in 2021. The last 6 Sundays, I failed to receive it. I called the subscription dept each time, and each time, they told me they would fix the problem. I am still not receiving the paper. I had to buy it at the corner store every week, so I asked for a refund or an extension on my subscription; they refused to do either. They said refunds or replacements aren't their policy. I am totally disgusted with such terrible service and would like to either receive ALL the issues I'm entitled to or receive a refund for the rest of my subscription. Companies like this should not even be in business! My account # there is *******. Thank you in advance for your help.
