Quote was given in Oct of 2022. Accepted Oct 2022 but work to repair roof not done for 6-7 weeks later. Work had to be done in temperatures of 50 degrees with no rail for 48 hr. Quote clearly said clean surface, sealer coat and finish coat of silicon. They waited until temperature was in 30s , rain in 24 hr which it did, no sealer coat and did not replace the gravel over area to prevent ponding of water in the area. Now they saY we are done. No one.. and I already paid they 50% of the job.

    Business Response

    Date: 12/30/2022

The customer was added to the list of previously sold projects which we complete in the order that they come in. The customer was not happy with the delay, so we attempted to move the job up. The outside temperature was becoming difficult to schedule the project and weather conditions also created delays. Delays were also caused by the customer since he not only wanted to have the temperatures above 50 degrees but also wanted to be on site to watch work be performed. The customer was informed that there was a different cold weather product which could be used and that we would make arrangements to get the project completed as soon as possible and the customer agreed to the new perimeters. Work started on December 19th and continued till the 21st. The new coating needed to solidify and cure before the stone could be moved back to cover the repair area. December 22-23rd it rained, December 24-26th we were closed for the Christmas Holiday. On Tuesday December 27 we received an email from the customer stating work was not completed to his satisfaction. We decided that we would not continue to work for the customer since he was becoming difficult to work with or please. The balance was no longer required, and we would part ways. At that time his building was no longer leaking due to the repair we performed. Since then, we have decided to return all the customers' money even though materials were used, and work was performed. He can find another contractor to perform his work in the future....

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed as Answered]

     Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

C and C Roofing claims the roof was not leaking when they left which is 100% false.  The roof is still leaking and expensive large, difficult to move machinery is underneath the leak.  If the company was going to take 60 days or more to try and repair the leak they should have told me.  The products they used needed higher temperatures and no rain.  Further C and C did not do what they quoted.- clear surface first, put a sealer on it, finish coat and replace the gravel.  All they did was, clean surface and put on a finish coat.  They did not put on the first coat nor replace the gravel.  Now, no one else can work on roof until the spring because of C and Cs delays which is causing continuous deteriorating of roof and Underlayment.  Due to timing and weather constraints C and C should repair the leak so I can get through the winter.   Use of a GE silicon that works below 30 degrees seems to be a possible solution.
    awaiting Vendor reply.

    Regards,
