I recently outsourced the polishing of some large steel tubes to a company called A&H Duffy in ********, **. I believe they are attempting to break our contract and hold my parts hostage in order to receive more money.We had a written agreement (email chain attached) that the company would polish the two parts for a total of $240.00. A few days ago, the representative I spoke to (*************************) emailed me back saying that they had already polished one piece, but demanded $580.00 to finish the job. We exchanged several more emails, with me insisting that A&H Duffy honor our written agreement and finish the parts for the agreed-upon cost, and the representative demanding $580.00 to finish, or the initial $240.00 for only the first.From my basic knowledge of law, I believe that our email chain constitutes a legally binding contract, with offer and acceptance, the promise of monetary value exchanged, and a clear intention to follow through.I simply want the company to honor our agreement, and polish the second piece for a total charge of $240. Alternatively, I want the company to return my parts in their current condition with no charge so I can take my business elsewhere.Business response

Regarding the above complaint. We spoke with ******************** on 3/25/2022 and he advised us that he withdrew his complaint.
The issue was resolved in a satisfactory manner.

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does satisfy my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint #********. I understand that by choosing to accept the business response that my complaint will be closed as resolved. I would appreciate it if the business was informed that their practice of price changing is predatory. It's disappointing that in order to resolve this issue, I had to waste a week and a half of my time and involve both the BBB and a lawyer.
