I entered into a agreement with New England Landscape, Co. (***) to do a new lawn, at my house, for $800.00. *** was to provide all materials and labor, except the grass seeds which I was going to provide. I paid *** a deposit of $400.00. A copy of the deposit check is attached.I informed ***, that the seed manufacturer, said the seeds needed to be planted by the middle of August. *** said, through its agent/employee that they could do it. *** started by killing weeds in the area where the grass seeds were to be planted . The weeds were killed with a weed killer spray. This was done twice, the second time it was done to kill the few weeds that were not killed by the first spraying.After the spraying, *** did not get to the next step of putting in the lawn, *** rescheduled and rescheduled, until the seed manufacturer did not recommend planting, it was too late to plant. (The grass was not planted so the weeds grew back , by the fall)*** said it would give the deposit back. I again met with the *** agent/employee and we agreed *** would do other yard work for $400.00, the deposit for the lawn which *** still had .*** did not do the other yard work. I again requested my $400.00 deposit back. In January *** said it would send a check. At a later time, *** said it sent a $200.00 refund and was keeping $200.00 for the spraying. I informed *** I did not agree to it keeping $200.00 because the spraying was of no benefit to me. The weeds grew back because *** didn't put in the lawn. The lawn wasn't installed, *** didn't do it when they were supposed to. I will have to pay again to have the weeds dealt with when a lawn is installed. I have not received the refund from ***. I want my $400.00 deposit returned . I received no benefit from the work *** did. *** did not install the lawn as they had agreed. I will have to pay to deal with the weeds when the lawn is put in. I had *** from New England landscape do my front yard brought in loom and hydro seated was supposed to install Drainage pipe that I was providing And never did he told me he would be back the following week he never called he never showed I got ahold of him this year and told him that that I had massive run off And he told me he would give me an estimate within a week and never did and told me to find somebody else that could do it yesterday he also told me that the hydroseed needed to be watered the very 1st day 5 months later After he did it we had snow within a week and I could not water snow He was doing the neighbor's lawn at the same time and that's how I became aware of him I paid him $4000 on November 20th **************************************************************************************************************** another $2500 I Would like him to refund me at least the cost of what it cost me to have the yard fixed. I also have all the text messages from this year That he sent me stating he was not going to help me out I don't have any from last year as I got a new phone and they did not transfer over.Customer response
