September 15 2023 2012 ************* GLK 350 ******** Auto repairs They did not provide the services originally agreed to for the amount specified. lack of communication with me during the repair process. Business has not resolve the issue due to the fact that they misrepresented their promises makes me reluctant to return the car to them. On September 14 I had a minor accident I rear-ended a car, only the grill and the emblem of my car were broken and my friend refer me to Pat Auto sale Auto Repair saying I shouldnt just leave it like that so I brought my car there under the understanding that it was going to be a minor repair. I kept checking to see if the appraiser had come by to appraise my car and the response was always that he hadnt come. After a whole month, my car was ready. The first day that I picked up my car. It started giving me problems, telling me the antifreeze levels were off I thought myself thats impossible. I just took it out of the shop and I thought it was A glitch of the computer and so two days later the car broke. I called *** and they took the car back to and they said that it was the ignition coil. There was nothing wrong with my car prior to that incident. Then when I take my car from Autoshop again the emblem from the car comes right off and when I look at it, it has been patched. Its the old emblem that broke in the accident. At this point, I am doubtful about everything that went on in that shop and I bring my car to the ******** to have experts look at my car and analyze all the repairs done to my car. I also had them write me a new estimate paperwork. At the ************* gave me pictures of everything that he found was not new but was claimed as new. He also wrote up a new estimate. I also have Father pictures that support my claim of them not fulfilling their promises, but yet charging for every single item they ended up lowering my cars value by placing it on borderline to total loss with no supplement.

Better Business Bureau:I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # ********.

hello, i would like to take this opportunity to explain in details the reason of my rejection.
      1. Concerning the deductible:  I texted *****, Pats employee regarding how much I was going to have to pay out of pocket. He replied by saying $500. I replied saying OK - I did not ask for a break on my deductible. I was just trying to see if I had to pay it all at once or if I could make payments, but once he answered my question I didnt see the need of asking for a payment plan.

      2. About the extra work done to some spots for free: it was my understanding that those spots were going to be included as part of the service. Little did I know that by repairing they meant just spray painting them with a different color paint for which I have pictures to prove.

      3. About the rental car: the same day I brought the rental car back I informed ***** that I had hit the rim and I asked him to contact my insurance company. ***** told me not to worry about it. He said they may not even notice it. I thanked him and we left it-as that.

      4. About coming over to the business to resolve this issue : based on everything written on their response, I understand they will not be of much help to me in person because not only are they trying to divert the matter of the claim that is being made but they are trying to put the focus on small things that ultimately do not justify the breach of contract.

      5. The last time I picked up my car, the emblem came off and it was all patched up. The grill that holds the emblem is also broken and it has residue of gray spray paint on it.
I understand my car is an old car and it may have underlying issues like he had mentioned in his response. That does not mean, however, that Autoshop can avoid repairing and replacing the items claimed.
My insurance estimate was for $6,605.13  and that is what Pats Autoshop got paid +$500 of my deductible which brought it to a total of $7,105.13.

They are suggesting that the repairs totaled $9,000 - basically $1,894.87 was covered by them because my insurance only paid $6,605.13.
That is absolutely impossible for an Autoshop to cover the repairs of their customers without getting compensation. I have my car to prove that everything that I am saying is accurate. I brought my car to experts -  a ************* dealer of Warwick RI and they provided me with pictures of all the parts that were visible to them and they informed me what was repaired or replaced and what was not.

I encouraged Pats Auto sale Auto Body to be honest and show good faith by acknowledging that they failed to comply with the service they claimed for which they got compensated by my insurance. I am willing to negotiate and settle for a reasonable amount.
Below Ive attached the original and final Estimate once again this estimate is the only legal document that can be considered because it is the Final Estimate my insurance company and Pats Auto Sale Auto Body agreed on.
