1 starBe aware of this company. I signed up for installation of solar panels. The salesman never explained to me that the initial cost would be the final cost. He quoted me ***** total but when they finally installed the panels it jumped to *****. Right now I'm on the hook for ***** dollars 23 years left on the contract. It's not worth it. If I knew upfront it will turn into this disaster I would never install them.Review fromChuck N

1 starIt has been a nightmare since the start. Misleading in home sales pitch, panels not working but we had no way of knowing because the app wasn't working either. Then we would get shut off notices from **********. Huge bill from **************** and then huge bill from ******. When we called to get an explanation we got the run around but were told after the first year things would settle down. Didn't happen. Now can't reach anyone and was even BLOCKED on their social media for asking why they won't return calls. They told us that is they made errors on their estimations they would refund the difference. Didn't happen and now we are stuck not knowing what to do. Really is disturbing how they treat people. In my efforts to find someone, anyone, to talk to, I saw a TON of complaints on social media and ALL WERE DELETED. What do they expect when calls, texts, emails go unanswered? Of course people will go to social media and question why they claim to be so amazing at customer service. It is such a shame because solar is important and beneficial for some, but they are giving this industry a VERY bad name.Review fromjoel c

1 starContracted with this company to install solar which they did. learned that my roof has been leaking die to the installation. Called SGS to have this rectified but for 2 or 3 months now thewy have been avoiding me. No call backs, no resolution to my problem. I would stay away from this company if I had to do it again. Not only is my roof now leaking, I have no one who can come repair it.Review fromCasey M

i hate this company. they said our monthly loan payment would simply replace our electricity bill, but now we still get an electricity bill PLUS a $200 monthly load payment! thieves!

1 starFebruary 2023: Temperature 7 degrees. Power outage. Smart Green backup failed. It took five days for Smart Green to reply. The reply: We can fix it in two weeks. It was the middle of winter, my system did not work and their sense of urgency and customer satisfaction was for me to wait two weeks. January ****: I'm still waiting for the to show up.My electric bill has more than doubled and I have the loan payment. I left a voice mail 10 days ago - they do not answer when I call - and still, no response. I called Enphase three days ago. The Enphase representative told me that Smart Green answered his call; he said that Smart Green would call me the following day. Still no call from Smart Green.My "Lifetime" usage has left me 71% dependent on the grid. The house was empty for a month. The only electric usage was the refrigerator, one clock, and two night lights with photo sensors. The house was 62% dependent on the grid for that period.I'm taking estimates for a new roof. The roofing contractor looked at the Smart Green installation and said that they placed it on top of two layers of shingles. The contractor informed me that installing the panels on a double layer of shingles is illegal. Smart Green told me that the roof had passed inspection.Before they quit taking my calls, they were rude, dismissive, and condescending on the phone. 5 starsI have nothing short of terrific experience with Smart Green. So far, I saw their add on ********* I requested a free consult. They contacted me once and left a message. I called them back to setup a time for free consultation. ***** was ******* who came over. Was very professionally, on-time, and to the point. Showed me what he had to offer with transparent pricing. They adjust my solar plan twice to fit my budget/needs. Then I worked with ****** to go through the contract and financing. She is nothing short of excellent. I have nothing by AMAZING words to express. Always responsive, even to a call at 6pm on a Saturday while she was at work function. I found that my electric bill supply rate was going up by 52% per kWh in December. So I changed my plan to get to 103% offset. She showed me pictures, answered all my questions. Pricing was transparent and she went through all the documents with me. Also, discussed the 25-year warranty for parts and labor offered by the company that makes the panel which are one the best available. ***** came back for the site survey and now my panels are with production team. Install & activation should be within 60 day window and well as 1st solar payment. If you are not activated by the time your 1st solar payment is due, they will reimburse you for the solar payment every month until activated. Lastly, they have a production guarantee that if you are producing the power you were designed to produce, they will add more panels to reach that after 1 year at no extra cost. They take care of every aspect of the project from start to finish and they are local to ***********. I will update my review as I experience the next phases. Thank you.Review fromPIERRE J G
