We signed a contract for bathroom remodeling because of my handicap to get a walk in shower. We signed this contract on May 22, 2023 and work commenced on June 1st. The demo was completed and plumber did rough in on June 6th. On June 13th sheet rock was completed by 4 men who worked for *********************, the general contractor from ** Build Design **** Wednesday, June 14th tile work had started. The tile work was completed on Saturday, July 1st. On Monday, July 3rd, we made our third installment to *********************. The total payment was $28,000. On Monday, July 10th the vanity cabinet was finally delivered and assembled and installed with no countertop. The template was measured for the countertop on June 14th. At this time I requested to have the toilet installed because of my handicap. We have a ******* downstair which is very difficult for me. I was told by ********************* that it would mean an extra trip by the plumber and he would charge me more money. On August 4th the inside window and door casings were installed. I have been without the toilet for this bathroom for 65 days. During this time I have made numerous phone calls and despite *** gave me dates for days and times of scheduled work, no one has showed up on any of those dates. On July 31st the bathroom fixtures were delivered by the Kitchen and bath Gallery. I asked ********************* when he could install these fixtures. He replied that the contract called for me to install the glass doors. The Contract reads - "Arrange Custom Glass Door template. Glass by Owner", Since I purchased the glass door along with the fixtures, I naturally assumed the Glass Door was included in the installation. The Medicine cabinet was installed with no issues. I noticed on the contract that other items were stated by owner and assumed it meant that we purchased them. Why do they put in all the other fixtures but not the glass door? We have been waiting over 2 months and the job is no where near completion.
