I have a Kitchenaid dishwasher that needs a replacement part under warranty. I contacted Kitchenaid/Whirlpool about the broken part in early July. They said they would have a service company come out to take care of the part. I was told there would be a $70+ charge for the service company. Called me 3 weeks later to schedule appointment and stated it would be 3 weeks before they came out, and they have most parts in their truck. The service person came out and got the information off the dishwasher and said they would order the part and requested an $82 fee. Nothing for 3 weeks so I called and they stated the part was lost in transit and would need to be reordered. 3 weeks later, the part comes in and they schedule for the end of the following week. The service person came out and Said that KitchenAid mailed the wrong part and it would need to be reordered. A month later with same excuses, the wrong part is delivered. I have had it after 4 months of excuses.Customer response

Better Business Bureau:
When Allstate Appliance came up with another excuse and then told me that the part was not under warranty, when Kitchenaid/Whirlpool told me it is, I decided to end the warranty arrangement and fired them. I requested that they return my $82 for the installation. They did return my money. I bought the parts ($15) and installed it myself. I wish I had taken this route months ago.
