    Similar to other complaints posted to BBB.org, I ordered product from this company and never received anything. I got one initial confirmation message, but then no shipping information or any other correspondence. Multiple email messages and phone calls were placed but no response. It has been over a month since I received any communication from the company. In addition, they charged my ****** account twice, as if I ordered a subscription, which I did not.

    Yea, my wife (********) wanted to get some date night in boxes in order to pass the time and his winter. She purchased three boxes from the website back in 01/15/25. We expected to get one of them within a week or two but didn’t hear anything or receive a box. My wife attempted to return to the website for help but there was no phone number and the only email doesn’t work. She got the following response in her inbox, “ The response from the remote server was: 451 4.4.4 Mail received as unauthenticated, incoming to a recipient domain configured in a hosted tenant which has no mail-enabled subscriptions. ***** [***************************************** ***** ******************* ****************]” Going back to the website, she followed a link to their ******** page which we noticed had no updates since 2020 and many customers appeared to be complaining of not getting their boxes either (with no response from the company). Then we noticed in our online banking that the charge was directed to “crate joy” so she went to their website and clicked support to email them in 02/05/25 again with no response. We also noticed the charge on online banking says “recurring payment” despite us trying to set up a one time payment and fear this company will attempt to take more money from us.

    I ordered a night in the box order on ********* for $62.99, I received confirmation of my order. On ********* I received an email that my order was on my way with a tracking number with USPS, stating a shipping label was created. USPS was awaiting my item. I tried emailing the company at the email provided and asked for response on when to expect my box as it was a gift for my husband. I still have not received a response back. It’s sad so many companies out there that are doing this to people. We have no way to recoup our money.

    Date of transaction: ******** Amount paid to business: $145.99 Business committed to sending three total products as gifts from me. Two items are Date Night-In Boxes. The third product is an interactive book. The nature of the dispute is no products have been received, and the shipping information sent to me has not changed. Shipping information has always reported a label has been created and nothing else. Multiple attempts have been made through e-mail to contact the business about the missing products. No response has ever been given.

    This company is a complete scam. You order boxes and they never come. I ordered two date boxes from this company 2 months ago and the customer service never answers. This company is SCAMMING people out of money.

    Purchased a gift card for my client on July/09/2024 to order their own personalized date night box. After sending the gift card to the client, they selected their order paid the shipping fee only to never receive their order. To date (Oct/15/2024) our client has not received any boxes. I reached out to the support team via email (both emails listed online) as well messaged the company via ******** only to have all of my inquiries disregarded. I have yet to receive an email explanation for the poor service, lack of contact phone number and dissatisfactory delivery process. Our company has been using this vendor for years (since 2020) and have never had a client report this experience nor had this unresponsiveness.

    I made a purchase and received an email confirming my purchase. However, 2 weeks later and I still don’t have any tracking information or an email even saying it shipped. I emailed the company several times and still have not received any response. When I click on the help desk link it says it’s no longer available. There isn’t any phone number to contact them. My kids purchase this for us for Christmas and so it was a partial gift card purchase. ****** refunded the amount I paid but I guess I’m out of the $120 that my kids spent their money on the gift card for.

    I placed an order for a night in box on August 18th. I got a confirmation of order email with the noted order number. On August 23rd I got an email saying the box was shipped. It is now September 17th and I have not received the box. When I click on the tracking number it still states "shipping label created **** awaiting item". I attempted to email the customer service email address and it kicked back to me as undeliverable.

    We purchased a mystery box and 3 month subscription at the end of April with word per the company website that our initial purchase would ship within 3-5 days. This initial item never was shipped or received. I contacted the company via the requested email (************************** 3 times over the course of 3 weeks as well as reached out via social media on ********** and attempted to send emails to company empolyees but these emails bounced back. From looking on social media, including ********, it appears the company's internet presence had been compromised months prior but no apparent action was taken to safe guard customers and no attempts to rectify the situation have occurred. I canceled our subscription so we would not lose further money as this company does not appear to care about providing products that have been purchased. I attempted to dispute the transaction with my credit card company in early May after no communication from the company but have not heard back from my credit card/bank as of yet. At this time we have only received the first month subscription. Per the company website our second subscripton box should have been sent, 1 week ago, but we have not received any tracking information nor has our initial, non-subscription purchase been received. We will happily return the package we have received as it is unopened for a full refund or will take the remaining items from our purchase.

    I ordered a 3-month membership in late 2023 (a box mailed monthly) for my wife with a company called Date Night in a Box. It cost me $131 ($43.67 per box) plus shipping. The product is advertised as turnkey (they even say, "we'll take care of all the details.") They also say, "We deliver a complete date night experience in every box." I purchased with the understanding that we could basically just open the box and do our date night. What we received was terrible - it's not the complete date night that was promised. It required grocery shopping to make dinner and spending $60 to take advantage of an included wine voucher. Everything in the box was very cheap and unappealing, looking like it cost about $5-7 to put together. I have reached out numerous times via email to voice complaints about the poor quality, never getting a reply. They have a link to a ******** page on the website, but it says I can't access the page. This made it impossible for me to communicate with them, work to resolve my issue, or leave a complaint. Reviewing their terms and conditions, it essentially amounts to predatory customer service practices. The ** * ** make it clear that if you're not happy, there's no recourse. There's no canceling a subscription. There's no returning a box unopened for a refund. If you didn't know you had a subscription, there's no canceling it. If you forget to cancel the subscription and realize it after it renews (even if no box has been shipped), there's no refund. Even if you get the same box two months in a row, they won't remediate the problem. It's all written like they know they have a bad product, doing all they can to keep every cent, regardless of how it impacts the customer. My complaints: 1) The product is terrible for the money, 2) the product is not as advertised, and 3) the company refuses to remediate customer satisfaction issues, they won't reply to communications, and they have cut off ways to leave feedback associated with their product.
