I came to this establishment looking to buy a car that had decent mileage because I drive from Saluda to Columbia everyday and back. He sold me a Chevy trailblazer and I went down the checklist of potential problems and verified with him there were no transmission or engine issues and he guaranteed me nothing was wrong with the vehicle. I paid him $1000 in cash as a down payment, per his request and when I got my temporary tag, took it for a drive and it began overheating. Every time i drove it was overheating. We tried to solve the problem at home but after 2-3 more days of not being able to drive it, I took it back. Travis agreed to look at it and try to fix the problem. That was a month ago. I’ve texted and called him asking for updates with no response to either. My grandfather purchased a car from him so he also tried reaching out with the same problem. When it was clear he wasn’t going to pick up the phone, all I could do was text him. After about a week and a half to two weeks with no answer or update about my car, I requested my down payment back so I could purchase a running car. No response, I finally had enough and informed him that I didn’t appreciate the run around and that I needed a car sooner rather than later. He finally responded telling me that he had a hectic work schedule at Michelin and that he wasn’t a repair shop, he was a salesman with other cars to repair and limited time to do so. I then reiterated I need a working car, and that he sold me one that wasn’t running in the first place and that I just needed my money back. No answer, several more text asking about the car and my deposit. No answer. Come to find out, almost a month later and he hasn’t even started working on my car. Even better, in my paperwork, hidden at the very back is papers I DID NOT get shown or sign when buying the car stating I was buying the car as is, and I had no clue! So now I have no car, I’m out $1000 and no way of contacting him about either!
