    This dispute involves medical care (my annual OB/GYN exam) that I received from *** *** ***** on 5/11/23. The doctor practices at Beaufort Memorial Hospital and the Billing Dept in the facility processes her claims. The preventative care I received is covered at 100% by my medical insurance provider, BlueCross/BlueShield of Texas as it has been for the past decade. The receptionist scanned my insurance card on the day of the appointment. The Billing Dept. already had my insurance information on file as I have seen other practitioners within the system and had tests done this calendar year. As a matter of fact, a uterine sample collected by *** ***** on 5/11/23 was sent to the lab and tested. That lab sample was processed & paid in full on 5/19/23. For some reason, the Billing Dept has improperly processed my claim with *** *****. The office visit has never been received by BC/BS of Texas, Within just a couple of weeks of my appt., the Billing Dept started to harass me about payment and even tried to block me from receiving other needed medical care. Initially, I did everything I could to help troubleshoot potential issues by checking out the Billing Dept's complaints. But I eventually discovered that all the problems they claimed blocked payment turned out to be completely without merit. (Such as: I'm over 65 and am no longer eligible for gynecological care. I had not filed a statement verifying I did not have secondary insurance. I filed an affidavit verifying this in Jan. 2023.) They had simply misfiled the claim. They never reached out to a BC/BS liaison that visits the hospital every few weeks to troubleshoot such matters or call BC/BS directly. They merely increased their harassment to as much as 3x a day even though we are within 60 days of the medical appt and I am covered for the appointment at 100%, I think they need to work with BC/BS of Texas or their liaison to resolve this matter and stop this harassment.

    This hospital is constantly not processing your insurance and taking state taxes as well as issuing a tax levy! Its not right.
