      I made significant adjustments in my life and drive almost 8 hours to pick up a truck I purchased from Hilton Head GMC. I interacted with them numerous times during the week to confirm I was coming down from ************** to finish the paperwork. The morning of the expected sale I was called and told the truck I BOUGHT was sold to someone else, but refused to tell me when it was sold. This is a breach of contract, trust and is insulting. I believe they sold it to someone else for a higher price because I was purchasing it through a GM discount program, which is also discrimination. They claimed to be working on getting a replacement, but I discovered the sales persons involved were actually off and out of town. How do they sell a vehicle to two people? They owe me my truck plus compensation for my time, expenses and emotional distress.

      First and foremost we sincerely apologize to the BBB and *********** We are an organization that values ,our team members and our guest with the upmost respect for both. I looked into this matter and realize quickly that i was involved in directly. The Yukon XL at the center of this issue was ****** out front on our lot and a customer who knows me asked if he could drive it for which i said sure. I asked asked a sales person to assist the customer with a test drive and after they returned they agreed to purchase the Yukon XL at MSRP with no trade in. After the transaction a couple of days later *** (sales person )told one of our senior managers  he had put a sold sign in the Yukon XL. Now to be clear when we opened it for the customer who knew me no sign was in the Yukon XL. We also require a $2000 nonrefundable deposit(Mr.***** live in North Caroilna and wanted the Yukon held for 10 days) which no deposit was ran and we would have much rather sold this Yukon XL to Mr. ***** who has a trade which we could have also sold and made a profit on not just one Yukon but both the trade and the new Yukon. We feel awful about this and would have no problem helping with the expenses related to this issue. Again we are good people and feel terrible about this and we look forward to finding a fair solution.
