**This is for Bela Dentistry of West Columbia** I had a root canal done on 3/5/2024 by an endodontist, and they said they would reach out to Bela Dentistry to let them know I was ready to have a permanent crown put on. After three weeks of not hearing anything, and still having my temporary on, I reached out to them to make an appointment. My appointment was scheduled for 4/09/2024, but during this past month I stumbled upon the fact that Bela Dentistry was not in my network, something I know they knew, but was never disclosed to myself. I've had multiple things done at their office over the past couple of months, and had been paying out of pocket the entire time. I reached out to another dentist that was in my network and made an appointment for another tooth that had been bothering me. (Since this had been such a long, drawn out process so far, I wanted to go ahead and get this going). The new dentist reached out to Bela Dentistry for my records, and almost immediately I received a text from Bela Dentistry saying my appointment had been cancelled. I let them know I still needed it so I could get my permanent crown, and they put it back on the calendar. On the morning of my appointment, 4/9/2024, I received a call from Bela Dentistry saying that since my records had been released, they were not legally obligated to do the work. I told them Dr. Hill was going to take care of this crown (I wouldn't pay) because I had already paid for one, which had to be broken when it was discovered I needed a root canal and he said he didn't want to make me pay again. I told them if I went somewhere else I would have to pay, and this was already a process that was almost done, she said I don't know what to tell you, he's not going to do it. If they would have reached out to me sooner, this would have already been done, but I feel there wasn't a sense of urgency since it was a free service. Any other time, they've contacted me multiple times, when I was paying.Business response
