    On June 20, 2022 I paid ***** ******* dba The Southern Husband, $3500 to provide rehearsal dinner food on November 4, 2022. Due to several complaints from other consumers doing business with ***** *******, I felt it was best to ask for a full refund since my event is three months out. He informed me he has spent my money for "cash flow" and would have to see what he could do. It has now been two days with no response about my refund. There was no signed contract involved. My son's wedding is very important to me and I need a refund so I can book another caterer.

    I wasn't going to leave a bad review but after pictures from my daughter's wedding were posted on Facebook by Southern Husband with the statement "Who doesn't love a good hot breakfast buffet?", I decided to leave a review. The food was cold and the caters came in and served the food in very unprofessional and inappropriate attire, jean shorts and ball caps. I booked Southern Husband based on a recommendation of the venue and we were very disappointed. They were rude to guests, one being the grandmother of the bride. she asked if she could break up her biscuit before they put the gravy on was told yes as long as you hurry up and don't hold up the line. The wedding party including the bride and groom were only allowed 1 peice of bacon and 1 waffle. The groom asked for more bacon and was told no. They actually brought a single small waffle maker to feed 110 guests, obviously not adequate and some guests did not get a waffle and those that did waited. All that to say Facebook photos do not tell the whole story!! We would have really loved a "hot breakfast buffet" which is what we expected and paid for but that is not what we received. Overall very disappointed and would not recommend.

    So instead of reaching out personally to let me know you had any issues you wait till quite a bit later, and post a review here instead. Wow. If you’re going to get on here and complain at least be honest. We always wear polos or “southern husband tshirts” and we also have southern husband hats with custom logos also. If you preferred a certain attire, you obviously could have requested it. I apologize if your mother or in law heard us wrong but we have NEVER been rude at any events to our guest. Customer service has been my life since was 15 years old. The venue wouldn’t have recommended us other wise. We usually cut up and laugh with our guest, to keep things running smooth. This is our 4th wedding at this venue. So if we were so horrible I highly doubt they would recommend. Now on to the major situation. The food. If you attendee the food vent, then you know they were way off on their schedule. We had a schedule sent to us for everything to be ready. We were forced to provide things almost 1.5 hours early because of issues at fault of either the wedding itself, or wedding planner. We told them numerous times we were not ready that early. As we aren’t required to be, and we were constantly rushed and told to do what we could. Otherwise everything would have been ready and hot. It was completely out of our hands, and the blame does not lie with the southern husband on that. We worked out tails off to pull our hot breakfast food in a timely manner, and over an hour early. While I’m sorry things didn’t go exactly as planned, and we gladly will take responsibility in our ends when we’ve mishandled something or etc, this one was not ours. We showed up and set up early. And were prepared for the schedule the wedding planner and your daughter gave us. Thanks for your concern! Best wishes!
