This company is so overrated. Bought the kimono pajamas which completely gape open. Very useful. Contacted the company and they offered no solutions or offer to accept a return. The fabric is very hot as well. Complete waste of money. They also only post positive reviews on their website. Any influencer who hawks this garbage should be ashamed.Review from DM C

Poor quality. Did not make it past first wash. Washed on gentle cycle per care instructions, hung to dry. Product was discolored and faded. Customer service was recalcitrant. For $130, the product should be quality and customer service should be given tools to problem solve and make things right with a client. To be clear, I wore these ONE TIME and they are ruined from gentle wash and hang drying. I am flabbergasted that they still have a customer base after pedaling such a lackluster product. If these were $24 on Amazon, I’d still be livid. Don’t take advantage of a consumer for your own profit. Make a proper product and ensure customer loyalty by offering your customers means for solution versus blowing them off when they gave you their trust. At this point it isnt about them fixing the problem, I will gladly complain about this company and tell everyone I know how poor quality they are.Lake Pajamas Response

Thank you for your review. We're so sorry to hear your experience has been disappointing. In reviewing your case, I see the image of your discolored pajamas. Unfortuantely, this appears to have been caused by bleach or beauty products that contain harsh chemicals (such as benzoyl peroxide). Because this is not a manufacturing defect, we were unable to provide a refund as requested.

Here's the letter after being out $700 worth of pajama I am writing to express dissatisfaction with the customer service responses regarding the fit of the pajamas. After encountering several issues and noticing similar complaints on the Better Business Bureau site, I am compelled to share my feedback in the hopes of fostering improvement. One of the primary concerns is with the sizing of the pajamas. Despite following the sizing recommendations on your website, I experienced significant problems with the fit after washing. The garments, which were initially ordered in medium, ended up being far too large. While I understand that the website advises customers about potential shrinkage, the resulting size difference left me with pajamas that not only looked unappealing but were also impractical. The issue is further exacerbated by the company's policy of not allowing returns or exchanges for items that have been washed. This policy seems unduly stringent when customers diligently follow care instructions. The inability to exchange items that do not meet expectations is both frustrating and financially burdensome. In my feedback, I would like to draw attention to the customer-centered approach adopted by other high-end companies such as Nordstrom, LL Bean, Crew, and Anthropologie. These companies prioritize customer satisfaction and demonstrate flexibility in addressing issues related to product fit and quality. In contrast, the one-size-fits-all response from Lake appears rigid and fails to consider the unique circumstances and concerns of individual customers. Revisiting and potentially revising the company's policies regarding returns and exchanges, especially in situations where sizing issues arise despite customers following provided guidelines, would greatly enhance customer satisfaction. Adopting a more flexible and customer-friendly approach, akin to industry leaders, could contribute significantly to the positive reputation of Lake Pajama Company.Review from Marissa H

Lake Pajamas does not seem to care about customer satisfaction. Similar to the experiences of others, I wanted to love the Pima Short Robe I spent over $100 on at Lake Pajamas. However, it won't stay shut. I can only sit still in this robe, as it slips open. I have been given the runaround by customer service - I never once asked for a refund, but rather asked that my honest review (that the fabric feels amazing but the robe is essentially not usable) be posted on their site. Unfortunately, Lake's business model is that they only post stellar reviews. If I had seen a review that said this robe doesn't stay shut, I would have (happily!) purchased another product on their site. Instead, now I will never purchase from them again. I've contacted customer service via email, and also on the phone, and they were not helpful, and said they would "pass on my concerns." I continue to not hear back. It's dismissive and dishonest - other (good) companies have no problem posting all reviews because they care about their customers and stand behind their product. That's so clearly not the case here. My review continues to not appear on the site, but if you take a look, you'll see 5 star reviews from as recent as just a few days ago. MILDREW! Please beware, I purchased 2 sets of theElizabeth floral pajamas for my daughters. I washed both sets together in cold water on delicate. Surprisingly, one top came out with what appears to be mold on it. They were clean with no stains or food on them - my 8 month old baby had worn them twice. Lake acknowledged that their pajamas can mildew. After only 1 wash and 2 wears this is completely unacceptable.Review from Far Z

Horrible, absolute horrible customer service this company could care less about you. Pajamas cost l $100+ and they could care less that you’re their new customer or that you bought their pajamas and want to exchange them for a different size. I got pajamas as a gift but they were the wrong size. The return policy is 30 days (no shits given). I had no idea about this brand or the return policy. All I wanted to do was exchange the unworn pajamas for a different size. I reached out to their customer service, asking if I can make this exchange, but they would not budge. They didn’t care to help me. They refused to help because they’re going to stick to their 30 day policy, regardless of anything else. That’s convenient to them, of course. This company is pure trash, because their people and the principles and values they operate on are of complete disregard to the customer. Customer service isn’t their number one priority, nor is it their number 10 priority, nor is it their priority at all. Do not waste your time or money.Review from Zac C

I purchased a gift on Black Friday for my wife. The sizing ended up not being correct and I wanted to exchange the purchased item for a different size. The customer service was not helpful, instead telling me that I could only return the item. I would them have to repurchase. Since this was a hassle I just tried to return the item but the only option was for store credit, at a lower cost than what I paid for the item. This is borderline fraudlent and so opposite of what a company shold do. I literally wanted to give them money for a product and now I just want it back since they seem to have sketchy business practices.Lake Pajamas Response

I love this company and their pajamas so much, I hate to have to write this but I feel it is important for others to know this about the Cozy Robe since they don't seem to post less than 5 star reviews on their website. The robe does not say what the material is on the website and is clearly labeled as polyester which would be helpful for someone with sensitives to know ahead of ordering. Regardless, washing it should have helped but it still didn't. I left a review several months ago just acknowledging that the robe caused a skin reaction and a headache when wearing it. I acknowledged that I had sensitive skin and was just letting people know that despite washing it multiple times I still reacted to it and that I would recommend going with their all cotton items instead if others have the same issue. This review was never posted and their customer service told me there was nothing I could do about the robe because I had washed it. As stated, I have so many things from there I love and have no issues with so the fact that they wouldn't stand by their products was frustrating and then to not post a review that was less than five stars informing others that they may have the same issue just seems like a really poor business practice. For a $174 robe, you would think they would at least post my review since they did not offer any help when I contacted customer service.Lake Pajamas Response

Buyer beware. This company sadly does not stand behind their products and will either cite "wear and tear" or "user error" even when the item is clearly faulty due to manufacturing/stitching defect. I have numerous items from Lake and this is the first time I have ever contacted the company or asked of anything from their customer service team. I have actually promoted the brand time and again on ********* because I loved the products so much. A nightgown I purchased in September 2021 and have worn 3 times now has come apart directly at the stitching along the back neck. They claim this is wear and tear when it is clear the seam was not properly stitched to the trim. I followed the exact care instructions for the item to wash on cold and lay flat to dry as I have with all of my pieces. Washed in a delicate bag and the item was washed twice and on the third time when I went to wear it this week I noticed the faulty stitching. The absolute lack of effort to rectify or remediate customer service situations with their customers is appalling. I spoke with Carly and she took no accountability for the lack of quality control on this item. I then submitted a 1 star detailed review with photos for the nightgown as it is still available and fully in stock on their website and customers should be made aware they do not stand behind their products. You will not find my review or any negative reviews on their site. I will be taking legal action as they are in clear violation of CRFA. I can see based on the below reviews I'm not the only customer who has taken notice of this. As someone who has spent $2,810.14 with this company since 2020 I do think they should be held accountable for their deceptive practices.Lake Pajamas Response

Writing this review to warn other buyers since Lake does not accept anything but 5 star reviews on their website! I received a set of pajamas as a gift that started falling apart after a few months. I recently contacted customer service and had an extremely frustrating experience. The seams on my most recent pair (purchased 4 or 5 months ago) was coming undone in multiple places. Assuming this was just a one off quality control issue, I contacted customer service via email and spoke to an agent. I explained the issue and provided the requested photos as well as the order information, but was told that they stand by there quality and there was nothing that could be done. After expressing my discontent, I was offered a 10% off coupon... which you can receive by simply signing up for the email newsletter. I've followed the washing instructions carefully (washing on cold/delicate and laying flat to dry). How could this not be a manufacturing issue? I called to speak to someone on the phone and unfortunately reached the same agent again. There seems to be no one else to escalate issues to and when I asked if Lake pajamas are expected to only last a few months I was told no, they should last longer... so in that case it seemed that she was accusing me of being wrong somehow even though she admitted the pajamas should last longer than ~5 months? I expect more out of a $100 pair of pajamas. If a customer follows the care/handling instructions exactly and the pajamas still fall apart I firmly believe this is a quality issue. Really poor customer service through ******* - hoping Lake will re-evalulate their entire customer service department because it seems that many others are having similarly frustrating encounters (if you look through *********, ********, and **** comments). Please do better Lake. Silencing your customers is not the answer. You have many loyal customers that would like to continue to purchase your products, but this is unacceptable.Lake Pajamas Response
