I hired L***s Landscape Maintenance (Noah L***) to remove limbs from the trees that were touching the roof. Mr. L*** asked me if I could prepay because he had court that day and he had a large fine for a speeding ticket and would like the money up front and would come by after court. I paid him $400 through Venmo. Mr. L*** did not show up after court. We reached out and asked him when he would be there he said he would come the following morning. He did not show, After a few text exchanges he said he would be there that afternoon. No show again, this went on for one week. We finally just asked him to refund us. He said he would and also said he would do the job for free. At this point we did not trust him on our property and just asked him to pay us back. He said he would bring the money on Saturday and still did not show up. We are at the 3 week mark now and he has still not communicated on our refund.Initial Complaint

On Wednesday, April 26 2024, I contacted Mr. Long via Nextdoor (neighborhood social media app) about getting a quote for stump removal. On Friday, April 26 2024, Mr. Long came to my residence and after looking over the scope of work to be completed offered a quote of $800.00. I agreed to the work and made sure to ask if he would be responsible for removing all debris. He said he would remove all debris and perform clean up for an additional $200.00, which I agreed to. After an hour or two, Mr. Long informed me that his two workers had left, and he was going to have a young man in the neighborhood complete the clean up. I spoke with the man he sub contracted to complete the clean up and agreed that I would pay Mr. Long the $800.00 for the initial work, plus the $200 for cleanup. After Mr. Long left and was paid, the person he subcontracted to clean up the debris left. I contacted Mr. Long to inform him that he would either need to come back Saturday April 27 2024 to complete the cleanup, or I would like my $200 returned to me, as he did not complete the job he was paid to do. Mr. Long did not come back to cleanup on Saturday April 27 2024, and I sent him a text requesting that he refund the $200 and I would just take care of it myself. As of today Monday April 29 2024, Mr. Long has not refunded my money and shows no intent to do so. I am looking for a resolution on this matter and only wish to be refunded the portion of the agreed upon amount, for work that was not completed, $200.00
