      In October 2023, I moved out of the Woodland Park apartments after completing a year lease. I did everything I was supposed to do by giving a 60 day notice, completely cleaning the unit, and turning in all keys given to me at the begining of the rental, in order to have my $1200.00 deposit returned but since Greystar took over from the last owners, they are refusing to return my funds. After repeated calls to the manager(Amber Hopkins) and leasing representative (Simone?), I have been told that the check was mailed to me twice but had gotten returned which I know now is false because I have informed delivery access to all mail to be delivered to my address Monday thru Saturday via USPS and I have not recieved any correspondence from the apartments or the property management company since moving out. Please help me get my hard earned money back because there is no reason they sould be allowed to keep my deposit.

      I am writing to share my experience within the hopes of resolving ongoing issues before taking further action. When I applied for an apartment, I secured a 12-month lease and received my offer letter on June 9, 2023, at 11:51 AM. A month later, we found a preferred unit (Unit 111) and reserved it. Isela informed us that the only change required was extending the lease to 13 months, ending on September 17, 2024, which we agreed to. We received our welcome letter on July 12, 2023, at 11:55 AM. On July 15, I visited the office to inquire about my renewal statement. To my surprise, I discovered I was signed to a 15-month lease. I showed the assistant apartment manager the welcome letter, and she stated she needed to speak to her boss, Heather. After speaking with Heather, I was told there was nothing they could do. Here are several reasons why I know the lease was supposed to be for 13 months: The welcome letter, which I have attached, clearly states this information has the lease ending 9/17 My insurance is also set to end in September. The welcome letter lists our rent as $2219, which is our current rent. Altering the lease term always changes the rent amount, which has not happened in my case, showing that was supposed to be my lease. Additionally, I have documents and voicemails that support my claim. Furthermore, I have overlooked other issues such as: Not having AC for seven days during 80-degree weather. Your team not answering emergency line phone calls for 24 hours. A faulty stove that turned on the oven by itself, for which I did not even request electrical repairs. Other things which I have documented with photo proof. Simply put, I just want my original agreement honored. I requested a call from upper management, but I haven't heard back yet.
