I Purchased a vehicle online from Autonation USA Charleston on 7/19/24. The vehicle is a 23 Ford Bronco with 11k miles and was listed as used, but in perfect condition without flaws. When I arrived at the dealership from Florida I was told I was unable to test drive the vehicle, as it was in the shop having the windshield "fixed," they were actually putting glue over it. I was unaware of this damage prior to making the purchase. I have called the dealership and spoke with Cam, who passed this over Brian Amey, Who passed it off to the General Manager Iash Sultan, Neither of them returned my phone calls. I then called Autonation customer service who assured me they would have a representative call me in 48hrs. nobody did. I called Customer service again and filed yet another complaint, and was instructed to wait another 48hrs. I waited 1 week. Nobody called me. I called the corporate office on more time on 8/13 and asked for a manager who elevated my complaint. Iash Sultan finally reached out to me while I was at work and I missed the call. I called back 3 times and nobody answered the phone at the dealership at all! I had to use a phone at work with a different number before someone answered, Just to get told they would take a message. I did manage to get Mr. Sultans email. I forwarded him a Safelite estimate for a windshield and he responded by asking me to purchase the windshield and wait for reimbursement . this is unacceptable. if there customer service turnover time is any example of the time it would take to get reimbursed for a windshield, I could probably make my own glass faster. I require the dealership pay the glass shop directly.
