the owner of this place is a total whack job. such a shame for all of the adoptable dogs that wont be adopted because of the un-professionalism. read her replies on the reviews, she responds like a child throwing a tantrum. Run dont walk!!!Review from Cj M

The owner ****** is the rudest person Ive ever came across, and from the other reviews it seems Im not alone in this assessment. Idk how shes stayed in business this long but we will never be using her again or recommending her to anyone. She does not know how to treat the people who help her and ***********************. Shes extremely rude and insults you. She thinks she doesnt owe you any explanation or anything. If you question her or call her out she says Im not dealing with this and just hangs up and then ignores your calls. Im sure she will leave a comment on this review as she has done the others. Calling them wack jobs. This is a very unhinged owner, so proceed with cation. Youve been warned. Something is definitely going on here. I am a 6 year Army Veteran that purchased a dog in 2021 when I returned from deployment to cope. Since Ive been back I fell on hard times recently and was seeking a good home for my dog because he deserves a better life. This is the first time that Ive ever felt to leave a negative review for a business. However, this was by far one of the rudest business owners Ive ever spoken with. I meant to reach another Rescue Group but somehow the call was directed to her. *** never surrendered a dog before so I do not know the process. I explain to her the situation and she asks if he is neutered. I tell her he isnt no she gives a sarcastic laugh saying he needs to be neutered. She then asks if he has all vaccinations, I tell her that he has some, and she asks me how long Ive had him. I refer back to what I said at the beginning of the conversation about returning from deployment 2 years ago, getting him, and falling on hard times and she replies with 2 years ago?. Why didnt you get him neutered then?. She finally volunteers to give me the number of the correct rescue group and I tell her I am fine and hang up. She then decides to text me (hopefully I can attach) to continue being unprofessional, I blocked her. After reading the other 2 reviews there is NO doubt that they are telling the truth. If you read her replies it tells exactly what type of service you will get from her. This is a business owner replying to customers like this. It saddens me that people like her are in industries that require empathy and maturity. Im sure that a lot customers are difficult but not all are. When trying to figure out the right way to do things instead of just leaving your pet on the side of the road, you are met by a nasty human being like this. Im sure she will reply to my review in the same disgusting manner she replied to the others by referring to one as a wack job. Rudeness seems to be a common theme here and obviously she doesnt get it. Be careful peopleReview from Meg V

The female found *************************** is horrific. . . Being new to ********* on a work contract, I figured a way to get involved was to offer my apartment and time to a 501(c)(3) non profit rescue organization. This very scared dog was dropped at my apartment on an afternoon. I was told to get a kennel, food, and a list of six medications he had to take. He also needed to be bathed 3x weekly. This was fine. I understood. What I will never understand is how incredibly unhinged the founder ****** became when I questioned why ***** the dog was being transported to ****** to sit and wait for adoption. . . She threatened my place of work, she threatened my livelihood in ********* and said I would be in jail and her threat was not idle. she then had four other woman contact me and bully me. I just wanted proper documentation for *****'s 16 hour journey to begin once again as a terrified puppy. Something smells very very off here.Jesse's Place Rescue Inc. Response

This woman is a TOTAL whack job. She literally tried to steal one of our rescue dogs. She was fostering the dog, then refused to give it up when we had an adopter. The prior 2 weeks she had repeatedly told us she couldn't keep the dog any longer and everytime we found another ******, she changed her mind. We had to get the police involved twice. The second time they went to her apartment, after Animal Control and Officer ***** of the **** informed her she was about to be charged with a felony, she relinquished the dog. The theft Police Report # is 20231013171502
Up front, we provided her with everything the dog needed, incl meds, shampoo, dogfood etc. He was never on 6 medications.
This woman admittedly suffers from clinical depression and has not been taking her meds. My lawyer did a background check and she has had numerous dui's (she doesn't own a car) and evidently has trouble keeping a job.
I have numerous e mails and texts from her threatening me ,the dog's first ****** and a volunteer transporter and after seeing these, Officer ***** sent me this:

Yes you can go to the magistrates office and seek a 50c. if granted, the 50c would be useful in preventing her from contacting you. She could violate it if contact is made and held in contempt for the violation by a judge. The judge then would set the penalty for the violation.

Manager/Owner ****** is by far the rudest person I have ever dealt with. I reached out to inquire about and puppy named **** via voicemail and pet finder alert. I was responded to by a email stating to fill out an application. Once I filled out the application and emailed it back to ****** she immediately responded by stating "Why get heartworms meds from PetSmart instead of Vet, Pedigree is not acceptable dog food we insisted on our dogs being feed 5 star food, and why are you renting?" Now while I can understand the Heartworms questions the next 2 comments were very questionable. I explained to her my reason for using Pedigree with my current dog and even explained that if a 5 Star food is required that is no problem. But then the question about why am i renting was just unnecessary. She then said "Sorry if you're sold on pedigree, you wont be adopting from us. Sh** food" I decided to call her and ask her why for the rude comment as I was simply stating my reasoning for using Pedigree. She cut me off and stated "I know and deal with people all day and do not believe anything you tell me about using different dog food." I asked her why is she so rude and judging me when she has never dealt with me before and I have always adopted dogs from rescues and shelters. Her response was "well that's good for you and we are done" then hung up in my face. Obviously she is discriminating against applicants because if they are not already doing things how she wants them done or living where she wants them to live she immediately becomes negative towards you and uses unprofessional language.Jesse's Place Rescue Inc. I knew from the minute I answered the phone that this guy was going to leave a nasty review.I simply told him that Pedigree was not an acceptable dogfood . Since he was clearly sold on the food, I told him he could not adopt from us because no matter what he told us, that is what he would end up feeding the puppy. He was argumentative. I told him i didn't have tome to discuss this further and that was it. He kept bringing up "discrimination". So that was a red flag in itself. We do not discriminate against adopters. But if they won't follow our guidelines, we simply will not adopt to them. End of story.If people don't tell them what they want to hear, they quite often become very difficult and this is what happens. Quite honestly, I deal with difficult people every day. They always want to leave nasty reviews. I could not care less if they do. No way to stop then or appease them.
