    Better Business Bureau (BBB) is informing consumers and businesses about the marketplace conduct and complaint history of Prime Baths by Home Craft Solutions, a bathroom remodeling company.

    Consumers have reported that they have paid upfront for services and products; business has failed to deliver services and/or products; consumers have not received a refund or return call from the business.

    On January 19, 2022, Prime Baths by Home Craft Solutions was informed of this concern and invited to discuss the pattern of complaints and determine ways in which the pattern might be alleviated.

    On January 20, 2022, Prime Baths by Home Craft Solutions responded to the BBB with "I'm aware of the issues and concerns in reference to customers that have given us deposits and are waiting for installation. There are two issues that are causing delays. The First issue is delivery of product due to shipping problems throughout the Country. The delays are endless. Second issue is installation crews, finding crew continues to be a struggle. Solution is I'm working to rectify both issues. Looking for new suppliers and constantly looking for install crews. I have made a lot of progress. As far as customers not being able to get a hold of us, here is my phone number for them to reach out to me anytime. We have done many installs that turned out great. We will get every install completed. I'm also hiring an install manager to help run the back end of this business."

BBB reached out to the consumers who have reported they have not heard from the business, nor have they received a refund of their deposits.

    While BBB continues to accept and report complaints against this business and fulfill its responsibility to inform businesses of communications from its customers, this business has stopped responding to BBB. Therefore, as of August 05, 2022, BBB will close all complaints as unpursuable. However, should the business respond, consumers will be notified.

    We initially called two companies about 2 partial bathroom renovations to our home.. Dr. Drew A******, representing Prime Baths of Columbia, SC came to do an evaluation on 9/1/21. He had much more knowledge than the other company's representative, answered all of our questions, presented a range of possible solutions, and took measurements. We were told to order floor tiles, and that if we scheduled (and put a deposit on) the two baths at the same time the down payment would be less, and the renovations would be done close together. We signed a contract, and wrote a $6000 deposit check which was cashed 9/3/21. Thereafter, communication occurred with the company owner only when we initiated it--mostly by text, and rarely by phone call. We were given the excuses other people have received--that there were supply chain problems during Covid, and later problems getting work crews. Our last communication with Mike M**** was in June, 2022. We had continuously begged him to get to our jobs before we were scheduled to be out of state for three months. That did not happen, but Mr. M**** did call us before we left. This time he said he felt we deserved more information. He told us that he had bought the company, but that the previous owner had run up bills with suppliers that were not paid. Therefore, he could not get the acrylic panels that we had ordered. He said his company (Prime Baths) was offering its customers a tile job instead of acrylic panels for no additional cost. We then had to travel out of state, and we said that there would be no access to our home from June 15 to September 15, 2022. Mr, M**** told us to contact him right before we returned home and he would take care of us. In mid-September we began trying to contact him again, but as of September 27th, 2022 we have received no response. We have left messages at all known phone numbers, even that of the representative, "Dr. Drew". At this point we just want our $6000 down payment back!

    10/18/2022 - I had a meeting on 5/4/2022 with Dr. D*** who explained that our remodel of the master bath would take about 4 weeks and the remodel of the second bath about two weeks as it was just removing and replacing the counter and sink, mirror, lights and repaint the bathroom. The master bath was removing the garden tub and old shower - making the shower a walk-in shower, change out counters and sinks, remove and replace mirror, lights and repaint the bathroom. I paid $3300.00 and no communication at all only one text stating he would contact me when the contractor contacted him and ready to start. I have called, texted, and emailed both Dr. D*** and Mike - no response. I send a letter to Mike M****'s home address back in September asking for our money back and just last Friday sent a certified letter and no response. We are retaining a lawyer on Tuesday October 25, 2022 to get our money back as we can see our patience is done. Buyer beware!!!!
