    I requested a cancellation of service/auto payment at the time my service agreement ran out. They are still charging me. I have a serious back injury to to a work injury and have not been able to use the service most of the contract time period. They will not accept a "walk in" letter and had to be mailed. I mailed a letter and my request was ignored. I am mailing another letter certified-return receipt. Please ensure that they are complying with customer requests. Thank you.

    This gym is nothing but a scam. They trap you into a membership that is almost impossible to get out of. I signed for a 2 year plan but after those 2 years they continue to take your money. I was told the only way to cancel my membership was to write them a letter explaining why I would like to cancel, like as if I would be denied being able to cancel if my reason wasn’t good enough. I asked if an email would be fine but apparently its not and they require a written letter. What business in todays world only allows written letters to cancel a membership? Sounds like a good way to trap someone in a membership. I was told after I mail them my letter I could take about 30 days to cancel my membership which sounds like they just want to steal another payment from me.

    Hello- This member, Dalton L****** joined on 10/23/2020 with our front desk supervisor.  He joined on a 24 month, Base plan and received the first month free. Member signed up, and received an immediate copy of his contract to his email on file that shows delivered at 1:50pm on 10/23/2020.  Member shows 2 total checkins over the course of his membership, on 1/08/2021 and the 2nd on 10/13/2021. I received a Google review on 4/3 (attached) where I immediately contacted our Brittany, our front desk manager.  She alerted that she had spoken with him the previous day and that he "cursed her out" on the phone because he had moved to Charleston and couldn't cancel over the phone. She even elaborated that she asked him not to take his opinion out on a front desk employee, however he continued to curse her out over the phone loud enough that other employees could hear him standing nearby.  Ironically, his Google review has been "changed." I will attach the other one that confirms his desire to berate our staff online. It looks like he "changed" the review to remove the comments and I've attached the current review below.  

    Ultimately, Mr L****** moved to Charleston and forgot to cancel his membership.  Because we follow the state guidelines where cancellations cannot be verbally accepted, he attacked our staff over the phone and then online because he couldn't verbally cancel.  We did receive a cancellation thereafter (where too he berated the staff in writing) and his membership was cancelled exactly as it should have been.

    Please let me know if you need anything add'l.  I did try to respond earlier but it seems as though the BBB portal was down a few days last week.  Thank You

I would save yourself the headache and just lift rocks instead of joining this pathetic place.

    Hi Dalton- Notations timestamped on your account on 2/24/2023,3:24pm where you spoke with a Manager regarding how to cancel. I show you also inquired again on how to cancel in March and we followed up but did not get any response. I do not show any cancellation still on file as of today. We follow the guidelines set forth by the state and currently they do not allow for verbal, faxed or emailed cancellations. Additionally, you are month to month and can cancel with a 30 day notice/one billing cycle notice at any time. Please reach out again to us at [email protected] if you still need help getting your cancellation submitted. Once received, it's scanned into your account and sent for processing. Too you will receive an automated cancellation confirmation as previously explained. Thanks and hope you are doing well.
