    ****'s Carolina Flooring LLC completed a full shower remodel on October 12, 2021. The job was completed, and I paid Mr **** 5900.00 for the entire project. A few into the project, Mr. **** went home one night and my wife spotted a crack in one of the tiles in the shower. We immediately called Mr. **** and were blamed for "sabotaging" his work. I was taken aback but we could talk about the issues, and Mr **** explained that he would fix it. Once the project was completed, my wife and I used the shower with what we thought were no issues until August 2022, when my wife and I were getting ready for work and noticed the second-floor ceiling leaking from the area where the shower work was done. Mr **** committed to providing a 1-year warranty in which we were within one year when we contacted him about the issue. But from the text conversation, you can see that Mr **** blamed me for the issue and I did not feel safe using him to correct the issue. I contacted an additional specialist, Fair and Affordable Plumbing who inspected the area and found that the issue was in fact, faculty caulking work that had led to water leaking. Mr **** attempted to blame the builder faulted the AC line, but the specialist checked and verified that this was not the issue. I also had a mold inspection completed by Trey Manning of Environmental Mold Solutions who inspected and found that mold was growing in the contested area where the showers were leaking to the second-floor ceiling and had spread to other locations. Mr. **** contacted his liability insurance and accepted fault, but the insurance company was unwilling to remedy the mold and stated that their policy did not cover water damage. I contested them, stating that mold resulted from Mr **** bad workmanship and should be remedied. Unsuccessful, I have contacted a lawyer for legal consultation. We did an assessment (QLC Restoration) of the damages (70k estimate) submitted to the liability company with no response. All items included.

    BBB review I have a very same experience that they below review had with this contractor. It has been exactly one year since Mr. Spry installed the shower in my home. Midway through the project tile cracked and I text Mr. Spry to let him know of the issue. Instead of acknowledging, he immediately blamed me and my wife for doing something to crack the tile and “sabotaging” his work. Upon completion of the project, my wife and I use the shower for not more than 3 to 4 months before it started to leak from the second floor of our bathroom to the first floor. Instead of owning the issue, Mr. Spry attempted to find reasons why it was not his fault. Thankfully, I hired another expert to come in and assess the issue and found that faulty. Caulking and tile work was the issue that led to the leaks in my ceiling. At present I have a hole in my ceiling, a hole in my bedroom wall and still have not used my shower for the last six months. Initially, I was open to Mr. Spry fixing the issue, but upon his assessment he attempted to blame us again for the faulty, caulking and explain that this had never happened to him in his whole career. Mr. Spry‘s arrogance was vibrant and was not customer service centered. In the midst of this, my wife was pregnant with twins and as a result of Mr. Spry’s faulty workmanship. Even more appalling Mr. Spry contracted out a third-party plumber and attempted to blame him for the leak issues. We have also contracted mold in our ceiling that has not been addressed. I personally would not recommend Mr. Spry and Carolina Flooring for any work in the future. His company’s faulty workmanship has cost my home over $70,000 worth of damages repairs and auxiliary cost to mitigate the issue in which we are currently working through legal consultation to remedy. I am certain that Mr. Spry will respond and deny every part of this review to no surprise. But hopefully the readers who are looking to hire or read this review and think again before being proceeding.

    We thank you Mr B**** for your review. However we do have a problem with some untruths you’ve stated such as Job dates. We completed your shower install back in October of 2021. After 8 months your shower sprung a leak and we were open to finding and repairing the leak. We did question the origin of mold growth in the home after you brought a mold specialist in. Our questioning of the origin of mold growth was based strictly on the mold specialist reports. Instead of fighting we decided ti have you file a claim in which you did and my insurance paid you more then double the original job cost. You chose not to rehire us to fix the leak and you had every right too. It’s unfortunate that you haven’t hired anyone to take care of this matter. We did what we were supposed too.
