LifeHME incorrectly (by their own admission) charged my credit card on Oct. 6, 2023 in the amount of $988.80 for 2 invoices - #********* dated 9/8/23 and #********* dated 9/15/23 - for syringes and Kate Farms Standard 1.4. In an Oct. 6, 2023 phone call to Anthony in their Customer service Dept at 800-255-2321 he stated “the bills were never submitted to my insurance provider and should not have been charged to my credit card.” He said he would send this issue to insurance billing to correct and refund. Said it could take up to two weeks. Needless to say nothing happened. I made several calls over the next 2 months straight to the billing office 855-389-4043 telling them my insurance still had not received the bills and got the same answers - they would send to my insurance and when they heard back my money would be refunded. After all this I called the billing office again on Nov.29, 2023 and asked for a supervisor. Was given to a person named Marvin who told me the exact same things I had been told for 2 months. I told each of the people I talked to over this time period that my insurance had not yet received the bills even though I kept being told they would be sent! On 12/12/23 I again called billing. Got someone named Azana Legall and was told the bills were sent to my insurance on 11/27/23. “I should get my money refunded when they hear back from medicare.” I called billing again on 1/11/24 and got someone named Atavia or Otavia (sp?). She told me the bills had never been sent to insurance!! After putting me on hold for a while she came back and said “the $988.80 would be refunded in 24 to 48 hours.” It is now 1/16/24 and still no refund. 2 more thing to mention - I never authorized them charging my credit card and Medicare fully covers these services 100% at their negotiated rate, no deductible or copay. The fraudulent practices by this company are coming very close to theft, if not already there!! I’m asking for your help in an immediate resolution.

Long story short, I got a CPap machine from the LifeHME location in May 2023: LifeHME 2460 Remount Rd Suite 110 Charleston, SC 29406 Phone: 843-375-2870 My Customer #: ******* The Cpap machine was not for me, I used it for a week and decided to return it to my local LifeHME location in Charleston, SC on July 14th 2023. I returned the Cpap machine and all of it's parts in the LifeHME office to a young African American female. She gave me some "weird" receipt (see attachment for the paper that I was given by the LifeHME employee) that I just signed and she had her coworker make a copy of the paper and put it in my file. Several months went by - the monthly bills had stopped. Last month, randomly I started receiving the monthly bill from Adapt Health again. I thought the issue was resolved. Several weeks later I received a new additional bill - now saying I owe two months payment. Just yesterday, I received a 3rd bill saying that I now owe $270. I called the billing department again and they transferred me to customer service for help. The lady that I spoke to in customer service was understating of my situation and I could tell she took my concerns seriously. She placed me on hold for 10 minutes and called the local LifeHME office in North Charleston and spoke to a gentleman named, Anthony. Anthony, relayed to her that they have no record of me ever returning my Cpap machine in July! I am at a loss for words at this point. I need someone to help and get to the bottom of this issue/scam. I can't afford to keep paying bills for a Cpap machine that I returned in July and haven't owned for months. Adapt Health keeps sending me emails that I need to pay immediately and I am worried now that this is going to ruin my credit score. I am a local business owner in Charleston, SC- I have four young kids and my time is stretched to say the least in my life. Sincerely, ****** (****) ******** LifeHMECustomer #: *******
