              Called the muffler shop to indicate something is wrong with my muffler /exhaust Took it to the muffler shop on Wednesday August 30 2022. I received a call on Thursday that I need 2 engine mounts 461 dollars Friday I need a third engine mount. 620 dollars ok pick up car Tuesday September 6 2022. Having the same issue with the muffler car still shaking so apparently there was no engine mounts needed. Called the muffler shop and asked was the muffler checked the answer no I feel they should take the car back fix what I indicated was wrong with my car for free some of us don't have money laying around and that was out of the money I'm trying to save my home which is in foreclosure need to from hear from somebody asap also missing work I'm gonna need compensation

              Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2022/09/07) */ Ms. ******s brought her car to and ask for us to check the exhaust. We checked the exhaust and found no problems. Upon pulling car in, our tech noticed the cars engine shaking due to a cylinder misfiring and when giving the car gas, the engine was lifting off of frame due to broken motor mounts. We advised Ms. ******s that we found nothing wrong with exhaust, but told her of the other problems we observed. She told us that she has been driving car on long trips and that her car wasn't misfiring and wanted us to just to fix motor mounts. The reason her car is shaking is because of the engine misfiring, not exhaust. We give free estimates before we do any work, its up to the customer to have the work done or not. Ms. ******s stated that she has been driving the car, so there should be no loss of work to be compensated for. Also, we clearly put on receipt she didn't want to fix the misfire. We would be glad to help her fix the misfire and get her car not shaking again, but she was adamant that there was nothing wrong with the running of her car. Ms. ******s has been a great customer for us since 2019 and giving the situation with her home, we are willing to help her out at substantial reduced rate, but not for free as we did nothing wrong. Chris from muffler shop called and said I need 2 motor mounts I said ok called on Friday I need a third motor mount I said ok total 620 dollars picked car up on following Monday due to holiday weekend. CAR still doing the same thing I brought it in for I repeatedly asked if the muffler was checked chris said no at this point I don't even feel the motor mounts were needed highway robbery if this is how sc treats people relocation is not an issue but I'm not letting it go Business Response /* (4000, 14, 2022/10/03) */ Again, Ms. ******* car was checked out for an exhaust leak. None was found. Chris does not answer phones, give estimates or talks to customers. He does our dyno tuning, so Ms. ******* didn't talk to him, she has been speaking with Angelo. Again, we give free estimates before we do any work, its up to the customers to approve repairs or not. The motor mounts were bad, as indicated by the motor lifting up off of the frame when gas is applied in gear also which is audible as a thunking noise. We are not in the business of "highway robbery" as indicated by our 20+ years of doing business with our community. The engine is/was shaking because of a misfire, which she was informed of at the time of estimate. Again, we would be glad to fix misfiring problem at reduced rate, but not for free as we have have not done anything wrong.
