Today 12/11/2023 I took my car to Santee Lake Service Center. I went there to have my spark plugs changed and exhaust bolts replaced. I had the plugs and bolts with me. The manager told me the mechanic was having trouble getting some of the exhaust bolts to come out to put the new ones in. I thought it was just a couple so I told him I wanted the ones he couldn't put in. They charged me 275.00 to do this. They had left the bag with the unused bolts laying on the seat. When I got home all of the bolts were still in the bag . They never put a single one in. 275.00 UNBELIEVEABLECustomer response

when we started working on his vehicle trying to fix the bolts that he had already damaged i made him aware that the bolts that were in the exhaust manifold where rusted and seized up. I asked him if he was sure he wanted us to fight them to get them out or did he just want us to repair the threads on the ones that were in there because by the time we got the old ones out he would have alot of money tied up in it. he said if we could just repair them that would be fine so that he could save some money on it and to just put his bolts back in the truck for him. in total we had around 4 hours in the repair between replacing the spark plugs and fixing his manifold bolts and i only charged him for 2.5 hours of labor instead of charging for the total amount we actually had involved. our labor rate is $110 per hour, with that being said i honestly charged him $165 less than i should have.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: I paid to have the bolts replaced. The mechanic took over 2 hours to change 8 spark plugs. I watched from the back of the car and the manager came and told me I couldn't stand there and watch that I must go to the wating room. If they couldnt do the job they should not have charged me. That is redicilous paying someone to do something and them not doing it. NOT ONE
