I recently went to Woodard's automotive for service. I paid $1500 for them to work on my car and it stopped ten minutes later. I haven't been able to drive my car since they did repairs. I also have a 1 year warranty but they refused to look at the car again.

Can you check your database for ******* *******.Thank you.

Yes, we do have that customer in our database. The repair made was for a leak at the timing cover on the passenger side of the vehicle. This was a large job that involved removing the entire timing cover for repair. The next day customer stated that she was not able to drive the vehicle because of a reduced engine power message displayed on the instrument cluster. We checked computer data and checked our previous repair. The fault code stored was for the pedal position sensor. This sensor is located on the gas pedal inside the vehicle. This sensor sends a signal to the throttle body to control acceleration. The throttle body is located on the drivers side of the engine. This is the total opposite side of the engine where we made the repair. The wiring for the throttle body and pedal sensor does not go anywhere near the repair location. We told customer that there was no way possible that our repair was linked to this fault. Customer was very irate and yelling as we tried to explain what we would need to check. Customer left and returned a couple days later with vehicle being diagnosed by another shop. She paid them for diagnostics, a new throttle body and pedal position sensor. We tried looking at the vehicle anyway since she had no appointment. Customer was still irate and yelling as we pulled codes again. Same pedal sensor code was set. We applied Stabilant 22 to the throttle body connections as it is also the control module that powers the pedal sensor. We were going to apply Stabiliant 22 to the pedal sensor connector but she became even more irate. We gave the vehicle back and tried to explain what we added to the connector to improve electrical connection and for her to let us know if it helped before we scheduled vehicle for diagnostics. She would not let us speak as she continued yelling. We walked away and she continued to yell for a little longer before leaving. Please advise Mrs. ******* that the pedal sensor connector is a high failure item and most likely the fault. She should return to the previous shop to have them check that.
