Had my jeep serviced at Jiffy Lube. After having a terrible noise develop in the top of the motor, as well as performance issues....took it to a Chrysler Jeep dealer. The mechanic that checked it said I had the wrong oil filter and that it was too small for my motor. After wasting three weeks trying to get Jiffy Lube to own up to their mistake and repair my jeep, they finally told me it was the correct filter and that they weren't going to do anything about it. So now I've had to hire a lawyer, send the old filter and oil off to a company to be analyzed, and having to pay out of pocket to have my jeep repaired and the findings documented for litigation.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/10/22) */ Below is our response to Mr. ******. Mr. ******, Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I understand that you are upset that your vehicle is having a problem but our service did not cause your issue. You are basing your findings on the opinion of an mechanic after hours in a parking lot because the filter housing is a different size then what Jeep installs. The oil filter that was installed on your vehicle is the correct application for your vehicle and is a ***************** branded oil filter which is a recognizable national parts brand. The filter has the same exact oil pressure rating as the one made by *****. The oil filter that was installed on your vehicle meets all of the manufacturer required specs for your vehicle and motor. This oil filter has also been installed 7,443 times in our Florence market alone this year and we have had zero problems with it's performance. In your hand written statement to us you stated that your problem started 3 weeks after the oil change. You continued to drive the vehicle for 10 weeks and 3,638 miles. If there was a problem with the oil filter and the amount of oil pressure you would noticed it as soon as you left the store. Also the code that pulled in your history when we looked at the vehicle was a P0303 and a P2299 which are cylinder #3 mis-fire and brake pedal position sensor codes.
