    I booked a reservation at the Best Western Carowinds ( through Booking. com) for Feb. 19 & 20, 2024. Our car broke down on the way there. I called ** to cancel. They told me I had to call Booking. Booking said to call **. According to the Booking confirmation notice, I would be charged for the first night, but refunded additional nights. I have contacted the hotel a total of 6 times, and they have never returned my call. I contacted ** customer relations and they said they have a "no refund" policy, contrary to Booking. com's written policy. I expect to get a refund for the second night, $87.50, but the ** manager will not return my calls. I also have a request for help in with Booking. I would show a screenshot of the confirmation, but Booking will not let me do a screenshot. Thank you.

    I booked through a third party site over a month in advance for 1 night. When I got there, they said they had to charge me an extra $20. The excuse was that the room rate that the third party had and reimbursed them for was wrong and the third party was undercharging, therefore they had to charge me more. I did get a receipt when I checked in, but it did not have the $20 charge or the taxes on it. Then next morning when I checked out, I asked for a full receipt with all charges and they denied it! They told me the third party should have sent it to me. The hotel was clean. Breakfast is what I expected.
