We hired Mrs. Cooley to do our taxes. We required that an extension be filed in order to wait on my husband's K1 from his employer, which had also filed an extension. In the meantime, Mrs. Cooley's office failed to advise us on making a payment to the IRS to avoid interest fees. Ultimately, she never completed our tax return by the extended deadline despite multiple requests for updates. She would not personally return phone calls or emails; we would only receive promises from her receptionist that the return would be completed on time. After the deadline came and went, we picked up our materials from her office and took them to another accountant for completion. The end result was that we had to pay the IRS $1200 in interest and penalties as a result of her negligence. As such, we believe that her office should reimburse us for these costs.Customer response

Unfortunately I don't have any documentation unless you need to see the tax returns/bank statements where we paid the IRS. Mrs. Cooley's office will not respond to emails and all my communication with her staff was done in person and by phone.Customer response
