There are several issues with the job they did. They were not gentle banging around on the roof. A light fixture in the kitchen was dangling after the new roof was installed. This was a relatively easy fix since it was just a small metal clip that needed repaired. An electrical box for a hard wired smoke detector was also knocked loose which damaged some of the ceiling drywall. This is beyond my ability to repair. I talked to the sales guy and QC guy and the first words out of their mouth were a reading of the damage liability waiver. The experience up to this point has me questioning the overall quality of the install, so I climb on the roof to look around. Things “appear” to be ok except for one plumbing vent. I took pictures and sent to a contractor and two professional house renovators and all said that was not correct. DK Mason insists that it is correct. I invited the sales guy to come back out and look at the issues. I’ve heard nothing. Now, I get to deal with repairs (and cost) left behind from a questionable roof job. Time will tell what other issues come up from this install. I’m sure the first thing they will do is claim that the damage is from the roof leaking before the new install. Yes, there was damage noted by me and the sales guy which is no where close to the damage I’m referring to.

Im sorry you had an unpleasant experience with DK Mason Roofing. During any kind of construction items can get dislodged or disconnected. Our office did not know you were un happy with the install. It has been now over a year since you left this review and we haven't heard anything from you about any problems with your new roof. Your roof is still under warranty and we at DK Mason Roofing pride ourselves in the quality of our installs.

As many of you are aware, one of the most important elements of your home is the roof under which you live. My father put a new roof on our house about 10 years ago. After he passed away, I had to get a new insurance policy and they required a roof inspection. Once the adjuster got on the roof, he said the roof look like it was just installed. Now for me this is very good news because if there was defects in the roof my insurance company would mandate that I would have a $5,000 deductible if I had to do anything to the roof. Because the roof is in great shape, my deductible came down to $1,000. I give credit where it belongs, and I want to acknowledge D.K. Mason Roofing & Construction that did an amazing job and saved me money on my insurance premium and deductible. Any roofing contractor can do the work, but the issue is whether they're going to do good quality work or whether they're going to use cheap materials to increase their profits. I strongly recommend the next time you need to address roofing problems you call Darren Mason the owner of D.K. Mason Roofing & Construction and get the job done right the first time. When it comes to building your next home put a roof over that home that is going to last and not one that will cost you every time you turn around.
