      Business response

      06/30/2022

After conducting extensive research and reviewing the customer's file, and after conversations via email with Equifax, we are confident that the bank’s records are accurate and in fact match the customer's claims/records. Equifax acknowledged that the records the bank sent to Equifax were accurate, and that the error is on Equifax’s side.

The bank has continued to assist the customer in facilitating a dispute directly with Equifax, not the bank, as this is not a bank error.  While we are willing to assist the customer in filing a dispute directly with Equifax, we have no control over the internal operations at Equifax, or their timelines for correction, and can only provide him with limited assistance.

7/1/22 4:26 PM Attention: Cindy R*****- BBB Dispute Resolution Director. In reply to your 7/1/22 12:35 PM  message:
Complainant, ** ******, did not ask for any contact information for business respondent, such as phone or email address.

6/30/22 5:15 PM reply by ** ******, asked for business  person name & job title be shown in their messages.** ****** does not know person name to whom BBB sent complaint at business Southern First Bank. Hence & again:
Respondent person name & job title is asked to be shown as author in all messages from business.

More reasons for rejection in need of disclosure:
      1. Tell action taken by bank with Equifax to assist customer in filing dispute with Equifax?
      2. Disclose Equifax reply & intent to resolve Equifax failed credit reporting told to bank?
