AFS have called my home ************, repeatedly over the past month, at least twice a day trying to reach a person that does not live here. I have explained to the representative from AFS that we have never heard of the person "*******", and they do not live here. They have ignored this and have continued to call.Business response

The phone number that is listed on the attachment of #************ is not a phone number for our Company. Furthermore, the phone number that was called #************ did not pull up any accounts in our system, nor did ***** ***** with the address given. This is not our company that is attempting to reach you.

Today, June 9, 2023, I, my husband and my daughter were contacted by AFS and left messages that I call them back regarding case #****. I called ************, spoke with Ron. He stated that they purchased debts from Payday Loans that I apparently borrowed against (don't remember) in 2019. He states that I owe over $900 in default of my loan. I explained to him that I lost my job and my husband and I are on fixed incomes. We also are behind in utilities, car payment and barely scraping up enough money to buy food and gas. He was very threatening and states that I will receive court documentation within 1-3 days. I feel this in unfair business practice for something I don't even remember receiving, but I don't deserve to be threatened with court action, members of my family contacted trying to trace me down. All this for money that I don't clearly have for something that is over 4 years old. My priority is my current commitments to keep the utilities on and payments in order to not have my car repossessed. I'm truly trying to search for employment as well as to get whatever I can in assistance so I can at least make ends meet. I don't want any further action taken by AFS, as well I myself and my family members ask not to be contacted or threatened again. I don't have any money even if they threaten to take me to court.Business response

We do not have any accounts under the name ******* ******. The number mentioned of ************ is not one of our numbers. We also do not have anyone named Ron that works for us.

I filed a dispute against this collection agency I win the dispute case and the case close02/20/22 this collection agency still taking money from from account the last withdrawal they make was 09/15/22 every month they withdraw from my accountBusiness response

They're the one who's making the transaction from my account what company must I reach out to? The statue of liberty is 7 years June 2022 was 7 years why's it the still taking payments from my account up until 09/22 and if I didn't stop the payments they would continueBusiness response

Last October I got denied when applying for some loan in my name. Then I was provided a copy of my credit report and saw things on there that were inaccurate. Inquiries and addresses that are not mine were on my report as well as accounts that I never opened. I have contacted the creditors to make them aware of the breach. But they are requesting that I fill out a full Packet to show cause in order for them to cease reporting to my credit due to this possible identity theft. I also found this account that I believe not mine: Acct name: ACCL FIN SOL (Original Creditor: ** ***** FINANCIAL SERVICES LLC) acct no. ******** date opened 08/16/2019 balance $2,357.00 I am not liable for this debt and I do not have a contract with: Company: ACCELERATED FINANCIAL SO Address: PO BOX **** GREENVILLE, SC 29606 Tel No: (866) ******** Police Report and FTC Affidavit are attached with this complaint together with dispute letter sent to the bureaus. I also filed complaints thru CFPB. Please delete this account from my credit report at once. Any questions or concerns I can be reached at *** ********* SE ST APT* ******* GA 30315 and email at *************@gmail.com. I need a response from the company.Business response

The new owner has been made aware of this complaint. The AFS tradeline will be removed from the Credit Bureaus.
