Hello Dr.Jeff L***** and Juarneta, We have initiated our first complaint with the Greenville Better Business Beureu regarding your decision not to reimburse our unused treatment funds paid to you in advance. We used nine out of twelve visits for $3,000, leaving $750 of unused treatment. We have never been in circumstances like this before and we are extremely disappointed in your lack of business ethics or response to not to reimberse funds after entering into what we thought was a respectable business contract. We will allow you a short time to respond before we take further actions. **** ****** ** ********* Lane Brevard, NC 28712 ************Business response

(see attached documents for proof of ethical business conduct and Patient Care Plan details)
NOTE: per the terms of agreement signed by the patient, **** * ******** actually have an outstanding balance that they are ethically responsible for per the "Terms of Care" due cancellation policy which they signed stating that refunds are calculated on the Fee Per Service price (listed on page 1 of the contract). The patient signed and dated this agreement and understanding. It is sad that they want to steal and blame others for themselves not upholding their end of the agreement, and instead blaming others for their lack of commitment in their own health. Here is a copy of the email sent to the patient when they requested the refund:

Dear **** and *********,
Here is a copy (attached to the email) of the Terms of Care and our Discontinuation Policy which was explained to you in person, and which you signed in agreement.
When a patient discontinues care early, we are responsible to revert back to the Fee Per Service Price for the services you received (see the terms you agreed to on pages 1-2 of the Care Plan). You are only responsible for the services that were rendered to you at the individual Retail Fee Price (see each line on pg 1 of the Care Plan). You were ethically explained all of this up front and agreed to it in writing. We made sure there was no confusion from Day 1, as you read each line and signed the Agreement (see the last line of the Terms of Care you signed on pg 2).
So there is no lack of ethics in this situation, and we are saddened by your response, when we are ethically and lawfully upholding the Agreement that was clearly laid out and which you went over thoroughly in total clarity and signed in Agreement of these Terms of Care (refer to pg 2 of the document).
Respectfully,
Dr. Jeff L*****, D.C.Customer response

Better Business Bureau,
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this is still in conflict with their terms of contract. Quote: ‘a patient is only responsible for the services rendered’. We paid for twelve treatments, you provided nine. Simple answer you owe us for three treatments not provided. If you wish to hide behind some other reason for not reimbursement, we consider this unethical. Please explain. How you can be in conflict with your plain wording. This is without doubt deceitful practice.
Regards,
**** *** ******** ******
