    I purchased a refurbished refrigerator from this company on 9/16/2021. It was delivered with dryer sheets and ice pops in it. After I turned it and it got cold, a horrible smell emitted from it. I bleached it twice, used baking soda, etc. I tried to call the company the next week twice. I finally got through. I attempted to explain to the women on the phone, she immediately got defensive, refused to let me talk or explain, she talked at me foe about five minutes, rudely telling me how she cleaned it, blaming it on me and telling me they don't give refunds, someone could come out on Thursday to look at it. I asked if she was finished talking because I didn't want to be rude. She then cursed me out, called me illiterate and hung up in my face. I called back and asked to speak to a manager, she continued to scream, curse and hang up again. I called a third time and as she did the same. The owner then did the same. I was unable to talk and was told I would not be refunded.

    I would strongly caution consumers against patronizing this company. When my washer broke, I needed a repair person I could trust in my home. Jacksons Appliance Service and Repair is both Veteran & Black owned, so as a mother of a Marine, I felt I could rely on this company. I took time off during the window given by the tech. I received a call at 8:25 and another at 9:30am, stating the arrival time would be 30 minutes both times. I was going to cancel but at 10:06, the tech arrived. He determined the pressure switch needed replacement and stated I could save money by ordering the part myself. He assured me that he would "come right back out." I paid the tech in full including the repair and return visit. When I complained about the late arrival, instead of acknowledging or apologizing, he dismissed it and became very argumentative. The part came Saturday. I texted but received no reply. It was the weekend so that was fine. I sent another text asking if Tuesday at 8am was okay. He texted back one word- Yes. On Tuesday, I waited then texted after 10 am. I advised that I would be returning to work. He called with a combative tone. I attempted to de-escalate the conversation but the tech began to verbally bully me, cutting off my sentences- "Do you want me to come do the repair? Yes or no? Yes or no!!" " I disengaged from the conflict and asked for my money back. The tech said that I was not "allowing" him to return and forfeiting my fee. I told the tech that I would not let anyone who had spoken to me like he did in my home. I am agreeable, so to be spoken to that way is beyond reprehensible. I am going to attempt to remedy this situation with this young man's father, the owner Alve Jackson. To stake the professional reputation of his company on $100 and an inability to get out of the bed in the morning is tragic. I am only writing this review because after what I experienced from this man, I don't believe it would be advisable to have him visit people's homes.
