In November of 2021, a plumbing incident occurred in my unit affecting the one directly below. I promptly contacted the plumbing company referred by my building and resolved the issue. Several months later, Town and Country Property Management placed an unexplained charge on my account from another plumbing company (****** *****). I reached out repeatedly seeking to understand why this charge was applied. I was unable to receive a response from John H*******, the person I had corresponded with throughout the incident, as he ignored my calls and emails. Unbeknownst to me, Town and Country had called in a different plumber out of concern that there may be a larger issue with the building itself. They did so without notifying me, then sent the charge to my account. ****** ***** never entered my unit, nor did I receive a description of any work done; I simply found a new charge on my account. As I awaited a response from Town and Country, the charge continued to accumulate late fees. I have now remitted payment ($338.01), but I have done so under protest for the following two reasons: 1. Insufficient/unconventional justification 2. Failure to provide a just means for cure I have recognized a general pattern of a lack of communicativeness and transparency. In this case, it seems John H******* called ****** ***** in an attempt to protect Town and Country in case the building had a more significant plumbing issue that needed to be addressed. Instead of taking on this cost, it seems they chose to pass it along to me then neglected to respond to my request for an explanation. For this reason, I have chosen to file a complaint to document the incident. Thank you in advance for your time. Kind regards, **

I am doing work on decks for a neighborhood. TCPM is the company they use to make their payments. We have a contract and payment agreement that says a third down on or before the day of work start, 2nd after 22 houses completed, and final when contract work is completed. First check was 4 days late. The 22 houses were complete so I sent in the second invoice. Acknowledged, but heard nothing else. At the end of the week, I sent another email and informed we would not be back to work till the second payment arrived. You might think that a professional might look at the contract and agreement to see if something might be different. Now a professional should have none this well before, but that is a different story. So one might expect to get a reply saying something like payment will arrive such and such a date. But no. The email response said “Are you telling me it's been only 5 business days since you submitted the invoice and you have not received payment? Or are telling me something else?” Well, my first though was if you had looked at anything you would know that is exactly what I am saying. So what the person was really saying is, I have no clue about the agreement, but I still fill qualified to talk about it. My response was something to the effect that since the first payment was 4 days late, that getting timely payment was suspect. So the response came back and first said we have a 30 day net policy, but can request a 15 day. And that they are not sure how I could say it was 4 days late. Plus the comment maybe you are used to getting paid at job completion. Well, first, that would be another example that the person still hasn’t looked at the agreement to know that 30 days or even 15 days in no way applies to my agreement. My response told the person about the contract, andthe payment agreement. And while we did get paid eventually, it took several more days. What an embarrassment this must be for the Home Owners Association board.

We apologize to Mr. ******** for this clumsy handling of his payments per the contract and the poor communication. We certainly will strive to address these points and appreciate his candid feedback. Wilson B****
