On Wednesday, June 15, 2022, I visited the repair shop to have a diagnostic done on my car--I complained of a popping noise when turning my steering wheel and suggested that it was the C/V joint (my complaint is listed on my receipt---attached). I was called back later that day by Rob and told that it was my wheel barring and hub instead and given the price of the repair. I received my car back on Thursday (June 16) morning and after turning the wheel to leave I heard the same sound again; I went back to let them know the problem still existed and was told by Richard that he decided that the wheel barring was more of a safety issue and also made it seem as though I complained of hearing a sound from the wheel barring that I NEVER expressed to Rob. He also elaborated that my car was old and that everything under my car was bad including the issue that I originally came in for; insured me that my car was 100% safe to drive and that due to the age of my car it was going to make noises. I was taken back inside to get an additional quote for the ORIGINAL reason that I came in for and agreed to having it emailed to me so that I would have some record of this. I never received a call back even after speaking with Rob on Thursday night although he promised to give me a call back on Friday morning or today "for sure" (Monday June 20th) by close of business via Clay (the owner of the business). I feel as though I was taken advantage of and told that the most expensive repair was the issue with my car and left with the same issue I arrived with. I never received paperwork listing what issues were found during the original diagnostic or given the chance to pick which repairs I wanted done. There was never an option given, only a $49.95 fee to only receive the diagnostic or $1039.96 for the cost of the repairs which they expressed was desperately needed. I do not feel as though I should have to pay for more repairs if the issue was never fixed.
