I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service provided by Certified Truck Trailer. I recently brought two of my ice cream trucks to your shop for an inspection and was recommended to replace the Disk Rotors and alignment on the tires. I agreed to the repairs and paid a total of 1,606.20 for one of the trucks. However, my experience with your shop turned out to be a complete disaster. After receiving a call from your shop that the truck was ready to be picked up, my driver drove it for only about 15 miles before experiencing severe shaking. She pulled off the road and discovered that all the lug nuts on one of the back tires had come off. This incident could have been a fatal accident, and my driver was lucky to have stopped in time. This situation has caused significant inconvenience to my business, as we had to take the truck back to your shop for repairs and lose precious business hours. Moreover, it has put the safety of my driver and other motorists on the road at risk. I am deeply disappointed and frustrated with the service provided by the mechanic shop. It is unacceptable to have such a critical mistake occur after the repair work was completed.

Attached you will you see the Repair Order on which we completed the repairs needed on the FRONT of the vehicle.  This mechanical failure is on the rear of the vehicle.  This was not included in the signed repair order of what we did at this shop.  We offered the owner a estimate to fix the issue when he had this vehicle delivered here on Tuesday of last week by tow truck.  He was not happy that we would not repair the vehicle for free.  We are not at fault for this mishap.  We did not touch the rear of the vehicle other than visual inspection of the wear line on the brakes as required.  We did not remove wheels or anything from the vehicle.  The vehicle had been gone from our shop for over a month when this issue happened.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.
We must clarify that both front and rear wheels were part of the inspection process and the repair work that was authorized. The repair order you have attached does not specify that only the front wheels were inspected.

Furthermore, our driver reported that the shaking and dangerous situation occurred in the back of the vehicle. The fact that all of the lug nuts came off of the rear wheel suggests a serious error in the repair work that was performed by Certified Truck and Trailer. We ask for compensation of losing the business during the holding on the truck in the shop as well as repair it.

Attached are photos proving we provided the service that was authorized.  The man that is submitting these claims was not the one that was bringing the vehicles into the shop and telling what needed to be done.  The man that is submitting these claims only called in to make the payments.  Jay (not sure how he is related to this man) was the one that was bringing in the vehicles and picking them up.  We completed the work that was authorized and signed for by Jay.  We did 3 of their vehicles and they were picking and choosing what to do on each because they did not want to spend a lot of money.  This is becoming very frustrating with what he is doing.  Not only now has he disputed payment on the work we proved we completed but he has also had the police come to our place of business.  This needs to stop.  We did nothing wrong.  We completed the work they wanted.  It is not our fault they did not want the back done when we said the wear line on the brakes that we visually inspected was ok.  Please see attached. WORK WAS COMPLETED AS FOR ON THE SIGNED RO WHEN PICKED UP!

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.

My manager, Jay, brought my truck to the shop for a routine inspection of the tires, brakes, and rotors. It is common practice for mechanics to remove the tires in order to inspect these components thoroughly. Your shop's inspection resulted in recommendations for necessary repairs, which were completed by your team on the front of the vehicle. However, upon leaving the shop and driving only a few miles, the truck experienced severe shaking and the driver had to pull over. Upon inspection, it was found that all of the lug nuts on the rear tires had come off, causing a potentially dangerous situation.
If there was an existing problem with the lug nuts, it should have been identified during your inspection and brought to our attention. However, your shop failed to inform us of any such issue, leading us to believe that the tires were put back NOT properly. Therefore, our shop is responsible for the mishap that occurred.
As a result of this incident, we have incurred significant damage and loss of revenue due to the inability to use the truck for business purposes. Your shop should compensate us for the damage caused, including the cost of towing and any repairs needed to fix the truck.
We have already taken legal action by submitting a case to the *********** Magistrate Court, and we will be seeking full compensation for our losses. We hope that you will be willing to rectify this situation before it goes to court, but if not, we are prepared to see this case through.

I have a fuel issue for a 2012 ***** VNL I own. I’m a owner Operator. On June 9, 2022 my truck broke down. I had it towed Certified Truck and Trailer Repair in Greer SC. The mechanics gave me 3 different diagnosis for what the is. 1) Fuel Filter Housing. This was replaced and the truck still wouldn’t start. 2)Fuel Pump. This was replaced. Still the same issue. I asked how much did I owe for the work that had been completed. Trey, which is a mechanic and owner from what I was told, said I owed $2586.00. I said ok. He continued his diagnosis and discovered it was a leaking injection cup that is causing my issue. After for a week I continued to call every day to updates on my truck. I was giving a quote of between $1700 to 1800 for the replacement of the injection cups. But, they was short handed for the because one of their mechanics was on vacation. Monday June 27, 2022. I called to get a update on my truck. I was told it would be a week before they could get the injection cups. I informed them I could get the part from the ***** dealership here in Charlotte NC and bring the part to them, which I did and arrived at there shop at 4:30 pm. They where leaving for the day. I was told my truck would be ready by Thursday June 30, 2022. If everything went well it would be ready by Wednesday June29, 2022. Instead of calling I arrived in Greer SC at 9:30 pm. My truck sat in grass and hadn’t been touched. I stayed in Greer for a few and still no work being done to my truck. I did the same thing on Thursday. While sitting where I see the truck I called and got a update on my truck. I was informed that my truck was being worked on and they would call me when it was finished. Friday July 1, 2022 I go to there shop to get a invoice for the work I had paid for so far. My truck still sat in the same spot. After looking at the invoice, I see the total is $2738.78. When my girlfriend friend called to pay the bill she was charged $2820.00. My truck has been in their hands for 3 weeks..
