Got a 20k truck that ended up being a complete lemon...broke down about 2 weeks after we bought it. We were told it had been totally rebuilt etc ...here it is about a month later and the truck still isn't fixed and having more problems...I understand these trucks are not brand new and issues will happen with a used car or truck I totally get that but The issues that have been occurring including power steering fluid gushing out, fuel pump broken, oil leaks and key switch not working. This is completely ridiculous and the amount of money that we have spent trying to fix these issues that we have been unable to fix, time lost from work, money from work lost because of transportation issues. We thought this was going to be an answer to our prayers but it has been nothing but a nightmare!! Was told that this truck was looked over top to bottom and great shape and obviously it was not. The dealership doesn't give a rip because it's a buy here pay here however they could have offered to fix these issues or something since they have a mechanic shop right there...but they said they wouldn't do anything.Business response

I believe the vehicle you purchased from us is a 2011 Dodge RAM 2500 on 8/30/2023. We were first made aware of any issues with the vehicle 2 months later on 10/30/2023 when your husband came to the dealership in-person. We offered to take the truck as a trade-in on another vehicle or to have our mechanic shop diagnose the repair and assist since a warranty was not purchased. We do a complete inspection on all of our vehicles and make required repairs before listing for sale. On this vehicle we did $4360 worth of repairs and listed it for sale in great shape. We are not a buy here pay here dealership. All of our vehicles are sold as is and though we offer financing and warranties, we do not finance or warranty the vehicles ourselves. Our new Customer Service Rep tried reaching out to follow up twice and was answered and hung up on, so we have tried to resolve in house as well.Business response

Thank you again for the opportunity to address concerns regarding your vehicle purchase.
Please note the vehicle’s condition at the time of sale was vastly different from the condition presented on October 30th. You purchased a 12 year old truck with 178,000 miles, which was sold as-is. You signed the As-Is Non-Guaranteed Used Vehicle Sold without Warranty Agreement and the Additional Terms and Conditions Agreement which state purchaser shall not be entitled to recover from dealer any consequential damages, damages to property, damages for loss of use, loss of time, loss of profits, or income, or any other incidental damages. Please see attached.
Your husband first notified us of any issues 2 months after purchase. He stated he thought the engine was failing with his job requiring him to tow heavy equipment. He requested to trade the vehicle in on another vehicle. Considering the shape of the vehicle at the time of the request we offered $5000 towards another vehicle. He said he would discuss with his wife and let us know his decision. The owner of the dealership went out to speak to your husband and inspected the vehicle noting the trailer was adding stress to the truck. He offered to have the shop inspect the vehicle further if he was not satisfied with the price offered. He did note the cost of the inspection would be your responsibility. The BBB complaint was our next avenue of communication from either of you.
We have tried to reach you to gather details and come to a resolution, but you have not returned our calls and we have no other means to contact you. Please contact the office to accept the offer presented.Customer response

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********* and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.there should not be a reason why the truck as so many issues that soon after buying. This is ridiculous. It took everything we had to buy this truck..we do not have the money to repair it. When buying the truck we were informed that it was in good shape and had been looked over completely. We have not done anything to this truck to make it basically completely fall apart. Numerous things are wrong with it. Lose to the age of mileage I could expect to fix a couple minor things here and there but not to this extent. The dealership did not offer to fix this they offered to fix it if we paid them the approximate $5,000 estimate which we obviously do not have. This dealership is crooked and obviously doesn't take care of the vehicles they sell. This dealership has repair shop on site but to make this better and fix the issues was not offered unless we paid the estimate which we do not have.

Well I gave the dude all of my info when I was there. I left In the car I put $1250 down on the car. And then a week later he calls me to tell me that the company who had approved the loan for me wasn't going to approve me any more cause they couldn't get in touch with me. But he could in-house finance it for me so he needed to know what I wanted to do go with the in-house finance or return the car. The loan should have been taken care of b4 I even left in the car rgt? And also after driving the car a week I have learned it has alot of issues and is not nowhere near worth what I will b paying for it. So I ask him if I return the car will u get my 1250 back.? He says no I will not. And I tried to call the loan company and all they did was pick up the phone and hang up. But either way he still had all my info ge needed and I also sent it back to him again a couple of times and when I went up there to purchase the car I filled out an application which also had all my info listed that he needed. I sent him proof of insurance on the car. I want to return the car for my 1250 back. But he says no.Business response

Customer was approved for purchase of auto loan pending required stipulations. The finance company and the dealership attempted to contact customer daily with no response from Ms Owen. The finance company withdrew their approval because of customers lack of response. I then tried to reach customer to let her know we could do the loan for her within the dealership. i still was not able to speak to her but sent multiple text messages informing her of solution to let us finance. After no response from her we were forced to repossess the vehicle. Tell us why here...
