On 9/6/22 a Tiger Air technician came to repair my air conditioner. He automatically added coolant. After he was done we went inside to find that the fan was blowing & he said it should get cooler the longer it is on. When he was done I pd $255, check #***. After work I came home to find the house still warm & though the fan was blowing it was not cold air. I called & left a VM, later I received a call from the woman at Tiger Air stating they would send the guy out again the next day. I asked if there would be another $85 call charge & she said no. The next morning he showed up again & proceeded to add more coolant. My friend was there & went out & talked to him for me. The tech told him that more than likely there is a leak and that’s what is causing the problem I would probably need a new unit. He asked if he tested for the leak & the tech said no, he didn’t have the tool with him. He also asked what an estimated cost for a new unit would be and was told TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS! My friend suggested that it be tested for a leak & he said he would go get the tool from another technician & call me before coming back. That afternoon the tech called me & wanted to meet me that afternoon to check for leaks. I asked to verify again that there would be no change & he said yes there would be an $85 charge. I there with no one to cover my business if I left so I told him because I was going out of town I would have to deal with it when I got back. I called to have the unit repaired & the tech NEVER did an inspection to find out what was wrong, he simply added coolant & charged me. When I came back from my trip I wanted to call but it was early Sat AM 9/24/22. I wasn’t sure if they were open on Sat but assumed if not, it would go to VM. A woman answered & I tried to explain. She was curt & said “it’s not our fault that your unit is leaking”. I tried to say it was never inspected but she told me off for calling on Sat & hung up on me.
