I contacted J & G Truck Repair as a recommendation by my insurance company after having a flat tire on the interstate. J & G Truck repair and my insurance company discussed the matter, and I was notified that J & G would be at my location within an hour. Their business was 14 miles from my location. After 2 hours and multiple phone calls, one of the owners (Melissa) told me that my insurance company refused to pay for the tow. I requested a mounted tire, and J & G told me that they could bring one to me. Two elderly gentlemen brought me a rubber tire, not mounted, along with no tools. They removed my flat tire with the help of me and my husband. We had to physically lift up the car for them to remove the tire, because they did not bring a jack. After removing the tire, we waited another 2 hours on the side of the interstate for them to go and mount the tire and bring it back. Again, no jack was brought and we had to help them lift the car again. During the hours of sitting on the side of the road, my battery died from having on my hazard lights. We requested a boost, and one of the gentlemen hooked up my battery cables backwards and blew a fuse. After the tire was replaced, I was told by the male owner (Gary) to pay $347.50 for a TIRE or they would leave me on the side of the road. This is after he cussed me out and the female owner (Melissa) had to take the phone from him. They do not have a credit card machine, so she requested for me to send her money to her personal account on CashApp. My bank flagged this as suspicious and would not work. I had to go to an ATM at a gas station at 1AM to pay the two gentlemen for the tire. After this incident occurred, I discussed the matter with my insurance company. My insurance company paid them $196 for the tow that Melissa told me they refused to pay. (Documentation of this payment is available). As of 11/8/21, they have refused to provide a receipt, after cussing us out. A police report has been made.
