Laminate flooring installed around August 15, 2021. Paid $3360 for materials and $850 for labor. Also pd $800 for certified inspection, which flooring company required after the Jan repair fail Within 2 months the laminate was beginning to separate in a couple of places in kitchen. By mid-Nov there was a 1/2" gap in the kitchen. Called for repair on November 30th. After multiple repair requests, the repairs were made on 1/25/2022. The separated areas in kitchen were glued down and we were advised they would never separate again. Within 3 weeks the repaired areas were again separating and additional separation was now showing dramatically in the hall and also a place in the bedroom. Made pictures of issue and set up meeting with owner to review - he did not keep appt Office admin advised that we would have to wait for the flooring distributor, Regal Distributing, to send an inspector, but it could take several weeks since they cover the southeast. Flooring co would not come back out to repair until the inspection was completed. We called Regal and they requested a complaint form be submitted by flooring co on 2/17/2022. We followed up with Regal and flooring co. on 3/15. Regal advised the complaint was incomplete but that they would NEVER be sending an inspector out - they did not do that. Adv us to speak with flooring co regarding independent inspection. Flooring co declined to hire inspector, so we paid $800 for certified inspection. Inspector determined all issues were installation related and that the manufacturer's req of self leveling compound had not been followed. Also found that a few planks in the hallway had missing/removed locks. The inspector advised the entire floor would come apart since the installation was not correct. High traffic areas of kitchen & hall were impacted first Emailed report to floor co and Regal Dist on 3/24/2022. We requested response by Monday, 3/28/2022. We want this flooring removed/returned and to be refunded .
