      My 15 year old daughter took her car in to have the AC checked. She was given an estimate for repairs and told them that we could not do it today. She asked if they could look at her window as well. They gave her a quote of $227.00 and she agreed. Upon completing the work they gave her a bill of $491.00. She asked what the additional charges were since they told her $227.00. They said well it is $491.00. I called and was told that they charged to look at her AC and she should have known better. My wife spoke with **** and told her that my 15 year old should have understood and hung up on her.

      Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/10/25) */ ***** ***** CAME INTO THE SHOP ON 10/22/2021 ASKING TO GET HER A/C CHECKED. AFTER CHECKING THE A/C WE GAVE HER A PRINTED ESTIMATE FOR THE REPAIRS. SHE CALLED SOMEONE AND THEN TOLD US SHE DID NOT WANT TO GET THE A/C FIXED AT THIS TIME. THEN SHE ASKED IF WE COULD CHECK OUT HER DRIVER WINDOW THAT DIDNT WORK. SO WE CHECK OUT THE WINDOW AND GAVE HER A PRINTED ESTIMATE WITH THE A/C CHECK, THE DECLINED A/C WORK, AND THE PRICE FOR THE WINDOW REPAIR ALL ON THE WORK ORDER SO SHE KNEW HER FINAL BILL FOR THE DAY. SHE CALLED SOMEONE AND THEN GAVE APPROVAL TO FIX THE WINDOW (AT THIS TIME SHE HAD A PRINTED TOTAL OF HER FINAL BILL IN HER HAND. WHILE THE DOOR PANEL WAS TAKEN APART WE FOUND THE DOOR HANDLE LOCK UNPLUGGED AND FIXED THAT FOR FREE (WE LET HER KNOW AND ASKED IF SHE WOULD LIKE US TO PLUG IT BACK IN FOR HER )(SHE SAID YES) ***** ***** PAID AND SIGNED HER BILL WITHOUT QUESTION OF PRICE. NOT LONG AFTER ****** ***** CALLED IN AND THREATEND ******* THAT IF HE TOOK ADVANTAGE OF HIS DAUGHTER HE WAS COMING UP THERE TO HANDLE IT. THREATENED TO CALL AND BAD MOUTH AND SLANDER ALL OF HIS FAMILY AND ON ALL SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNTS. DURING THIS PHONE CALL ******* TRIED TO EXPLAIN TO MR. ***** THE PROCESS AND EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENED WHILE ***** WAS THERE. MR. ***** WANTS THE A/C CHECK FOR FREE. A SHORT WHILE LATER ****** CALLED BACK AGAIN STILL FURIOUS AND ASKING FOR THE MANAGER (*******) AFTER REALIZING THAT WAS THE SAME PERSON HE ALREADY TALKED TO AND HE GOT THE SAME EXPLANATION. THEN MRS. ***** CALLED IN FURIOUS AND TALKED TO **** THE OWNER AND HE EXPLAINED THE SITUATION IN THE SAME WAY. IN NO WAY SHAPE OR FROM WAS THEIR DAUGHTER TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF. WHAT CONVERSATION THE DAUGHTER HAD WITH THE PARENTS WE WILL NEVER KNOW. THEIR MISCOMUNICATION IS NEITHER OUR FAULT OR PROBLEM. ***** ***** GOT HER CAR CHECKED OUT, ESTIMATE GIVEN, AUTHORIZED, AND REPAIRED SHE LEFT WITH NO ISSUE UNTIL AFTER THE FACT. Consumer Response /* (3000, 8, 2021/10/26) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) ******* did not notify ***** that there was a $130 charge to check the a/c. Which he admitted on the phone. He also told her it would be $227 to repair her window, with my wife on the phone and she heard him give the price. I told him that that is where he took advantage of my daughter. Also, they failed to mention that when my wife called **** screamed at her so loudly on the phone that my son and daughter could hear it through the phone. I told ******* that I would be putting the facts out on reviews of their business through social media, which I have done. Not asking for anything for free only that they use ethical business practices.
