I purchased a Cadillac car around March 22nd from this dealer. Within less than 72 hours the engine was overheating and it was running through coolant by the gallons along with multiple lights now being on on the dash board including the oil maintenance light, engine check light and oil pressure light. When I called the dealership about the problems they advised me I get what I get and there are no lemon laws in SC to protect me. They also stated they just buy the vehicles from the auction and bring them back to the lot and sell them. After multiple interactions with them they told me I could bring the car back to them and they would exchange it out for another one but refused to refund me my money at all. When I got to the dealership they pointed me towards a Nissan Altima. I agreed after they assured me nothing was wrong with it but some minor physical damage. I took the trade out and signed paperwork. I was informed I would be given a paper tag and my title, tags, and registration would be mailed to me. I then left. After waiting 45 days and receiving no paperwork I called the dealership yet again to inquire about it. On May 14th I was told they had only just filed the paperwork with the DMV on the 11th because they had not gotten the title from the seller at the auction until then. I said I understood and hung up. My insurance was now expiring with my current company so I asked my sister to add the vehicle to her insurance. Again we still do not have the title at this point. After speaking to her insurance company they state the car is register under a salvage title and it's not insurable. I called the dealer once again and was told they couldn't help and they wouldn't help because they can sell whatever they want due to no lemon laws here and there is nothing I can do I can just try to sell it to someone else now and hopefully get something back. That's unacceptable and I am writing to ask for assistance in reaching an agreement with them over said issue.
